What up all! Man, feels like forever since I've really been active here. Lots of change for sure. I actually still have a few stogies lying around, but hardly ever smoke. Every now and then I'll have that urge. Pour a couple fingers, grab something good out the stash, and head out back. But, while I have really good intentions (smoking the thing), I hardly ever finish, or even get half-way. Just can't smoke em like I used to.

So anyways, I deleted my profile pic as the wife and I are separated, have been for going on five months now. It's a good thing, but still kind of reeling from it just a tad. Jess is getting way too big (for her britches), lol! Man, wish I could make her just stop growing up...but no can do. Just enjoying every moment I can with her right now. Been getting myself back to church, praying, all that good stuff. Trying to do what's right, ya know? Hard, but trying! LOL!

But hey, just wanted to let y'all know (anyone that takes a gander anyways) that I'm still around. I see y'all!

Wuttup everyone! Another year plus has rolled by. I've actually been checking in now and then, but not as much as I know I should. I've been getting a few cigars here and there as well, still have one very small (20 ct?) humi left. I actually bought as more like a novelty, which I'm glad I did because it's working well enough for now. Haven't had a dram of scotch in a very long time, only bourbon now days. Still have a craving for some craft brews as well, latest was Founders Dirty Bastard and picked up a growler of Anderson Valley Wild Turkey bourbon barrel stout, which I haven't tried yet, but smells pretty good.

I still struggle most days with my Jess gone, only getting to see her every other weekend now. It seems like every time I get her, she's grown a little more, not my little baby any more. I am re-married now, met a great little gal name Casey (yes little - 100 lbs), and she's a bit younger than me, but has to be in order to keep up. HA!

My first daughter, Mandy Ann (JRT) passed away right before Christmas '12, one of the hardest things I've ever dealt with in my life. Miss her like crazy I do, every day. Casey did talk me into getting another puppy, which took some time to find the right one, actually the right ones. Got a miniature schnauzer baby girl, and well, we just couldn't leave her sister behind, so got both. Lord what a mess!

So I'm going to try and get more active again with CP, been too long it has. I really miss the cigar passes and would like to get one going again, but may take a little while to get enough smokes back up to start it. Got to also get the time back again. I've definitely missed this place, the folks here, and all the fun. Got to get some reviews going again too! Man oh man all the stogies that have come along since 2010. Totally out of the loop.

Last update 10/08/12

It's been some time that I've been back on the pass, been thinking about it a lot lately, and think it could be time to maybe fire up a stogie or two again. Certainly seems like a lot longer than a year since my last update here, a lot has happened for sure.

My wife and I separated back in May this year. She took my baby girl, moved back to Columbia, and a huge custody battle has ensued since then. I go back to court actually tomorrow morning for the second emergency hearing; it's been two months now that I've not seen my baby girl Jess.

Yep, been a tough road this past year, but not all has been bad. I got back in touch with friends I hadn't seen or heard from in years, and am probably in some of the best shape of my life having lost approximately 30 lbs. But, I do miss a good cigar and dram of scotch. I actually stopped at the Tobacco Market up town a couple weeks ago, which has a very small walk in humidor with the typical domestic brands. I have to tell you it felt really strange standing in there looking around at all the cigars. Actually felt a bit snobby as I didn't see anything I really wanted to spend money on, but did end up getting a H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon, which actually didn't turn out too awful bad. But, oh many would I love to try a nice Anejo or Tatuaje again. Need to hit up 'ol Al I think! :)

Well my friends, hoping everyone is doing well and I'll see you soon!!

Last update 11/11/11

Well my friends, it's with a sad hand I write that I'm having to give up one of my most loved obsessions...cigars. Mine and my wife's health both has been deteriorating the past several months, hers something that just came on out of nowhere and not life threatening; however she is somewhat debilitated from a lot of pain and such. I myself simply needing to lead a much healthier life not just for my wife and baby girl, but to hopefully get back to a place I need to be in both mind and body. I've actually only been a couple weeks so far without a smoke and definitely do not feel out of the woods just yet as it is just something not so easy to stop. But, I'm going to hang in there best I can.

And so, I am not sure where my journey goes from here my friends, but I wish all of you the best in life! I'm sure I'll stick my head in now and again. Take care you all!

Greg

Enjoy boating (sailing), great cigars, fine scotch. excellent wine, delicious food. More than anything my wife Melinda and <del>3+</del> 4+ year old daughter Jessica Madison. Also can't forget my first daughter Mandy (Jack Russell Terrier) and Tinker (cat). As of late we've got a new member...Daisy. She looks like she has some siamese in her. Right now she's destroying our Christmas tree.

I have an extensive collection of books, mostly horror. Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, John Saul, Peter Straub, Clive Barker, many others. Also a big fan of Piers Anthony, notably the Incarnations of Immortality series. Love to cook (wife can't, so I have to). Did a lot of playing online at one time; however it's been a while now. Like to play around with guitar now and again.

Growing up in the South, learned a great deal of down home Southern cooking. My grandmother taught me a great deal from making scratch buttermilk biscuits to taking a chicken from the hen house to the frying pan. Also love anything Italian.

I've only been here a short time, however I've come to think of so many here as friends. CP is more than amazing with amazing people from all over the world. I hope to one day be able to look some of you in the eye, shake your hand, and share a wonderful smoke/drink with you.
