1955 Vintage Montecristo CUBA

No shame in it either should your cigars ultimately turn out to be fake. Yours truly was someone who learned the hard way as a new member here. It was in my nature to think what someone was selling/telling me was true. I for one am glad I learned from the experience and used the guidance from the membership here to set me on the right path of knowledge.
He could very well be telling the truth, but no one doesn't want to believe someone who seems so nice and upstanding can be pulling the wool over their eyes.
Since pre-embargo cigars aren't considered forbidden, and unless I'm missing something, it really shouldn't be a mystery story on the source. That, and as Josh pointed out, the boxes never raise the price...... Just some red flags to consider and be aware of.

Also, a few good reads on how easy it is. The Anejo OR review thread is an especially good read on how denial and arrogance can really get you into trouble. Not that you've been either.

If you think the cigar was worthy of the cost, so be it. And as previously said, review was well written.

I truly appreciate all the help I have received in this forum, it has been overwhelming and always in good form.

And it was 100% worthy of the cost, as I did not buy it. :D Just solely based on cost, I would not buy them now, nor did I consider it before. I even told my wife, I'm not 'ready' for a cigar like that (before she bought it) but I am glad she did despite that, as it was great, and an experience I'll never forget. If I ever decide I want to buy some sticks from questionable sources, I will always ask for help.

Edit: grammar

I've read that OR Anejo thread that turned into a complete cluster a number of times. It still makes me love this place every time I read it.
