I am calling out Wineador.com ( Forrest ) for BULLSHIT for non existent shipping, non receipt of order and non reply to two previous emails.

The facts: I placed my order June 24 for (3) AW281 shelfs, just plain ole shelfs, no exotic wood, no changes of any kind. Yes, I read order take 3-5 weeks, sometimes longer depending on work load. I m OK with that, no problems.

At the six week mark I sent an email to Forrest simply asking for a status since I am going to surgery and wanted to either be here to take them inside or make other arrangements. NO RESPONCE?

Well, OK, busy is busy, I'll hang loose and wait. At the 8 week Mark I sent another email saying " I'm happy business must be good and I'm happy for him, but could I get an update. Again, NO RESPONCE.

Today is week 9 and NO product.

Should I be pissed? WHO of you own your own business or work in a business where you would accept payment for goods, not deli ever in a timely manner and not respond to an inquiry? I'm not going to answer that because either business is SO good you don't give a crap, or you should realistically should not be in business. Without customers you haven't got squat.

Here we are on CP with a numeric base of 12,000 people, not all active, but then you never know who might decide to scratch that itch for periferials to their wineador, or perhaps purchase a complete system. Thinking of it this way, you are really messing with a awful lot of potential customer base. And if you factor in many of us on CP belong to other sites, this call out will flow into those other bases.

If I had my choice, I would ask Rod to ban Forrest from being allowed back on CP.

This entire scenario is beyond my comprehension, specially so when a simple email would have been adaquate.

I dislike doing this, it should not have been necessary, but it happened exactly as described. My intention was not to offend my fellow brothers and sister but state the facts.

Not defending Forrest, but your time frames seem to be a little off. You say you placed the order on June 24, a Friday. His website says shop days are Mon - Thu. To me that means your order date is June 27. This past Monday, 8/15, is 7 weeks from that date. Even counting from 6/24, today is the last day of week 8.

What is his handle on CP? I can't get on his Wineador.com website at work, but what are his rates? Not sure we can BAN someone, who is running a side business, but not advertising it on CP......unless I'm just missing it. If he screwed someone from CP, through a trade or a sale ran on CP, that's something I'd consider being reason for a BAN.

I'd just put the PSA out there, saying that anyone should proceed with caution, if they want to deal with him. Opinions differ, obviously.

I don't have a dog in the fight here and we don't know both sides of the story. To me, an answer to an email would go a long way regardless of time frame. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. At 7-8 or 8-9 weeks and no delivery or reply to email is a bit long. I see why one would be upset.

Edit: Is there a chance his reply got caught up in your spam folder?

I ordered shelves in November and they did take about 10 weeks to get. I typically got a response when I emailed him but it took a day or two. Maybe try and Facebook them, they seem decently active there??

EDIT: They posted there 1 hour ago.

I have cigars@cableone.net and sales@wineadors.com as the two addresses I contacted them at when I bought mine. maybe that will help?

No spam filter, issue here. Just disregard for common decency. How long can it take to say "working on it, give me two weeks". No way to treat a paid customer IMHO. Might suggest not charging the card before you begin production.o

I hear you Tom, but a twenty second email and telling the truth would go a long way.

I am going to add that order should be first come,,first serve. Sure I understand building a complete box nets more money, but it doesn't do shit for the guy that placed his order four weeks prior to be pushed back because money talks. Bad business practice in my experience. You quoted the time from, stick by it, don't ya think? if no one bitches he thinks it's ok. Bad business practice

I absolutely agree. I'd email him at both addresses and let him know you'll be contacting your credit card co if you don't hear back form him by the beginning of next week. And then go that route if you get no response again.

I don't blame you for being pissed. I went through about the same thing with my one order. His posted estimates on wait times are way off from reality. My order took almost 3 months to receive. And he's not good about responding to all emails and some were not in a timely manor.

Here is the result of my experience, the time line and product quality:
http://www.cigarpass.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-humidor-porn.75532/

All my correspondence with him were via this email address: cigars@cableone.net

I'm sure he will come though for you, I just don't think he concerns himself with good customer service practices (good communications).

Ed, I went through the same exact situation about 2 years ago. I posted about here http://www.cigarpass.com/forum/index.php?threads/wow-aw281e-wineadors-com-cp.70954/#post-1129081

I did get my drawers but the time it took for him to do it was unacceptable. He does good work but obviously doesn't give 2 shits about customer service or meeting his deadlines.

Edit: I placed my order on December 10th, 2013 and it was delivered on April 12th, 2014. 16 weeks after.
Michael and I went through the same BS. I did get mine, but the communication was very poor.

Seems like this has been a common complaint over the years. Caveat emptor

Agreed. When I ordered a few years ago he was consistently running a few weeks behind. I wasn't up against any time constraints, so I just accepted that up front. Sure enough, they arrived about two weeks late.

Still very happy with the product though. If I buy another NewAir I'll consider getting more, of course realizing they'll be even more ridiculously late.

This has been a VERY common theme with Forrest.
I ran into as well.

One thing that really upsets me is he never really accounts for himself or his actions or lack there of.
I am willing to pay more for a lower quality product than to give him any more of my business, but that is just me.

When Dealing with Wineadore search really is your friend....

......and the order has arrived : http://www.cigarpass.com/forum/index.php?threads/wineador-has-landed.75817/

the drawers arrived today. Have to give credit, was packed exceptionally well, Outer box, styro top and bottom, edge protectors, wrapped in a stretch wrap film.

Took them out and thought, geez they look thick. Not the case, they fit like a glove. I had to do some tinkering so my stuff fit, and I'm going to have to modify my Tupperware boxes to reduce edge contact, but Forrest came through the like Chuck Yeager breaking the barrier

Thank you Forrest.

Psssst Pug - the next time you call someone out and threaten to have him banned by Odd Rod, make sure you follow up with the details in your original thread once they work things out.

I would like to officially thank Forrest for his poor communication skills , but excellent craftsmanship and packing abilities! Any business that can get the Pug all worked up and ranting....with various sized text , bold font, and a total disregard for the help of spellcheck....gets my stamp of approval! :)
