This was a nice looking little machine made smoke that was discontinued in 2005. The wrapper was rough and semi-oily, however no defects to be found at all. I pulled the cellophane off and found it to have a very strong barnyard smell, and the cigar itself was quite soft and spongy. I clipped the tip off the foot and found a perfect draw and a very aged tobacco flavor came through.

Fire to the foot, I made a couple of puffs to get it going and took my first draw. The smoke was mild at the start with a taste of sweet hay. There was a flavor I have never tasted before in the smoke, and it took me a few draws before I could think of what it was. Butterscotch. A sweet, creamy butterscotch taste with sweet hay and what I would also describe as grassiness. Oh yeah, this thing is good.

A third in and the mildness turned to a mild-medium strength and a smidgen of white pepper spice came through. I continued getting the creamy butterscotch flavor, and a bitter sweet cocoa aftertaste. Delicious! Around the half-way point I started getting what I believe was notes of mint. Yes, I could actually taste mint in this smoke! My first time getting this flavor. Towards the end, the power really picked up close to a full strength and a very strong tobacco flavor came through. Something like burnt, black coffee. It was actually rather good flavors, but as stated, very strong on the palate.

I very much enjoyed this smoke as I feel it was quite complex for a small machine made. I’m not sure if I care a lot for mint in a smoke, however the butterscotch was unbelievably good. The burn was great the entire smoke. It looked as if it were going to tunnel something fierce at one tiny spot, but corrected itself quickly. I’d love to have more of these for a change of pace every now and then.
