What a nice looking salomon. Construction is perfect on this cigar with no prominent veins and the ends tapered perfectly. The wrapper is smooth and oily with a medium brown color and tiny black specks (tooth) all through it. There is a good weight to this monster smoke and very little give when squeezed. I clipped the head and found air flow to be good, and once the foot is lit and burning well, it will probably open up perfectly.

I put fire to the tapered foot and slowly took small puffs to hopefully get an even burn as it spread to the larger body of the cigar. The burn wrapped around perfectly, and the taste from the small amount of smoke coming through was absolute Partagas with vanilla bean and citrus.

Once the fire had reached the largest part of the foot, I took a long, slow draw and was greeted with a smooth medium bordering on mild smoke. There was only a slight bit of spice in the smoke and had a clean, lasting finish. Tastes of Vanilla, citrus, and toasted nuts came through with a salty sweetness on the lips.

The burn remained sharp throughout with the ash a whitish gray that fell once reaching approximately an inch, and the strength remained mild to not quite medium. Flavors continued to be consistent with vanilla, citrus and toasted nuts, and a nice touch of pepper spice on the back of the throat. There seemed to be undertones of earth and wood in the clean finish. Quite delicious!

In the final third, the strength did build to a good medium with a stronger, black pepper spice. This cigar was definitely Partagas and an incredibly delicious smoke. I have to give thanks to Nate (Nfulton) for generously giving me this cigar in a GB some time back. Nate, hope you’re well and having a Merry Christmas my friend!

Thanks for that Atuck! I guess I'll be smoking thin ring cigars until I get that image out of my head now!

Good review, I've been debating on getting some of these.

Thanks for the review. Your dog looks angry that the cat got the chair.

Damn Greg, looks like these past couple days have been good cigar smoking days for ya. Looking forward to reading about tomorrows smoke....
