This is a nice looking Lonsdale with medium brown, oily wrapper that is coarse with veins running throughout. It has a slight sponginess when squeezed, good weight in the hand, and a rather strong tobacco smell when held beneath the nose. I punch the cap and find the draw to be a little on the tight side, hoping it opens up once lit.

With fire to the foot, I’m getting a good medium bodied smoke with a nice spice on the back of the throat. It’s rather creamy with the flavor seeming a bit mild on the palate, sweet cocoa and roasted nuts are there, but just seem to be somewhat muted. I’m finding the same with the finish, good and lasting, but flavor just not as profound as I’m used to.

Maybe it was something about that first quarter inch or so that was just off, because the flavors seemed to explode not long after starting with the spice really kicking up a notch. Oh yeah, the smoke is definitely a good medium to almost full body with very rich flavors of sweet spicy cinnamon, dark earth and wood coming through. The finish is excellent, lasting long on the palate well after exhaling.

The burn is sharp with a medium to dark gray ash forming with the draw still a bit on the tight side, but working well with a slow, long draw. There’s noticeable tooth in the ash as well. Flavors are consistent as previously described, rich and delicious with a very lasting finish.

This was an excellent smoke with perfect burn, spot on draw, rich medium to full-bodied smoke, and lasting finish that was delicious on the palate. What a nice smoke for a perfectly gorgeous evening here in the South. Now I gotta go give my baby girl some much needed lovin’!

Great review. I smoked one of these a few weeks ago and I thought it was a great smoke.

Only PL I've really enjoyed, and the best thing is my B&M sells them :sign:
