Ah yeah, nice out this morning. Hygrometer on the back porch is reading 71.4F, however the humidity just shows HI%. Definitely a lot of moisture in the air, hell it’s foggy. :D Got a fresh cup of coffee and a Bolivar Jr. from ’07. Doesn’t get much better than that for me. This cigar is out of a dress box, so has a box shape to it with a medium brown wrapper, patchwork veins throughout, and slightly noticeable oil. Holding it in the hand, it feels a bit light, however only a slight give when squeezed. After punching the cap, I test the cold draw and find it on the loose side with good tobacco taste coming through. Going to have to take it slow with this one.

I get the foot burning well in no time, and with a couple of puffs, volumes of smoke are produced. The smoke is quite strong, a good full body to my palate with peppery spice on the back of the tongue and throat. Flavors are true, rich Bolivar. Strong, dark cocoa. Black, slightly sweetened coffee. Dark, moist earth with a touch of black licorice. Love it!

About a quarter in, the cigar goes out, so I have to do a quick re-light. The burn is all over the place, and I’m having a time keeping the fire burning good. However, plenty of full-bodied smoke is produced, and with exhaling slowly through the mouth and nose, my nostrils tingle from the peppery spice. Flavors continue to be as previously described with a delicious long finish on the palate.

At the halfway mark, after tapping off the dark gray ash, I see a fairly substantial hole down through the cigar. That would be the culprit causing the burning issue I’m sure. The draw is quite loose, so I have to “sip” on it to not get too much smoke at once. This is really a strong little cigar, and I like it!

The sun is finally starting to creep through the fog, right as I’m finishing up this fantastic little smoke. A good Bolivar is just one of the best cigars for my palate, thoroughly enjoy the rich, dark flavors and strength of the smoke. I am…a Boliwhore. Hope everyone has an excellent weekend!

I definitely have to try some Bolis and find out what they are all about. So much love in the air! Thanks for the review.

Yes Greg, you are. You know, the first step to kicking an addiction is admitting you have one, and now that you've done that, you can move on.

Then ya gotta find yourself a sponsor (12 step) and that could lead to late night and early morning phone calls when you're jonesing for one :p
