I’ve had this single cigar for a long while now, and decided I’d put fire to it after lunch (turkey on white with Duke’s mayo and slices of homegrown tomatoes all over it, oh yeah). The wrapper on this cigar is a rather smooth, chocolate brown, very oily, and has prominent veins throughout. It has a very good weight in the hand and has only a slight give when squeezed. I punch the cap and find the draw has a little more resistance than I like, however air comes through well with a taste of mature tobacco.

After torching the foot and getting the burn going well with a few puffs, I take a long, slow draw and find a very mild smoke coming through, no spice at all. The flavor is very good with sweet grassiness and a hint of cocoa. It seems there’s some woodiness to the very mild smoke as well.

The burn is sharp with a dark gray ash forming that has noticeable tooth. I’m finding the draw still has too much resistance, however smoke is flowing well enough to get the very good flavors coming through. There’s a decent enough finish on the palate once the smoke is exhaled, however not very lasting.

It seems the draw gets much tighter going on through the halfway mark, taking more and more to get smoke through. This causes the extremely mild smoke to lose good flavor, becoming slightly bitter on the palate. The burn remains sharp throughout with a compact, dark gray ash forming.

Towards the very end, the draw did finally open well enough to let ample smoke to flow through, and the body picked up quite well, even enough to say a mild-medium. There was a splash of light, peppery spice as well. It’s a shame the whole cigar didn’t smoke as good. Flavors picked up as well with the sweet grassiness becoming a bit thicker, cocoa a bit richer, and a hint of citrus zest.

Although this cigar was far too mild for my palate throughout most of it, I found towards the end what it really could be like if the draw was a bit more loose. The body as well as the flavors really became enhanced once the draw opened up. The burn was great with a strong ash that held well until tapped off. The finish was decent enough upon initial exhale, however short on the palate. For a really inexpensive stick, it was definitely a good smoke.

Wow, that thing is pretty damn oily after 13+ years! Great review as always Greg, I've never heard of this particular cigar. It's always fun reviewing something new. :)

These are nice for a quick little smoke. I think the tar builds up and causes the tightening. Good inexpensive 'quick' smoke. Nice review.

Experience the same thing quite a few times on the delirous. Tight at first but when it opens up, the flavors are pretty good.... ??? ??? And I'm talking about the cigar not... nevermind. :D

Nice review of a stick I never even heard of!
Thanks for sharing.
