Puppy Pass III
The Background: Ok folks, here it is… Puppy Pass III. This pass will be open on a first Picture Post, first serve basis. Thats right... to be allowed in this pass, you must post a picture of your dog (you can be in the picture if you want) AND meet the following restrictions: 1) you must meet the 'gimmick' criteria (hint- you have to have a dog!) and 2) you must be a member with a minimum of 75 posts OR have been a member for 6 months on Cigar Pass without having had any unresolved meltdowns, controversy, debts, yada yada yada. This is going to be a pass of somewhat higher end sticks... Puts and takes will be following the traditional methods...The Pass: I got this idea from this thread some time ago, where everyone posted pictures and info on their pets. As most people know (or would assume) I'm very much into my dogs. So to keep it simple, and run with a theme, this pass is for dog owners. The 'gimmick' for this pass is not only cigars, but dog treats. Every pass participant is expected to put into the box, their dogs favorite treat. A bone, treats, cookies, whatever. The next person in the pass gets those treats for their dog, and replaces the treat with their dogs favorite for the next person (and dog) in the pass. And so on down the pass. So hopefully everyone not only gets some great cigars, but their dogs get to participate and enjoy some new goodies as well.
The Rules: (my apologies to all the other passes I stole these from…)
1. When you receive the pass, please do an inventory and make sure everything is there and numbered correctly!2. Please inspect the box and packaging materials for proper cigar packing and RH%. Either post your concern or contact me directly via PM.3. Do not remove the cigars from their baggies unless they are part of your approved P/T's.4. Please post your proposed P&T's in the forum prior to the pass arriving to you. If anyone has an issue with someone else's plays, please be polite about it and post your concerns in the forum.5. Put & Takes's (P/T's) should be: A) value for value, B) ISOM for ISOM, C) NC for NC (Rarity trumps value, BTW and age factors in slightly as well...) *HOWEVER*... I will allow 2 for 1's and Non-Cuban for Cuban on a limited, person by person basis. These are by PRE-APPROVED PM FIRST please. I fully expect no one will want to take advantage of this, but you never know.6. In the dog treats area, anything not professionally/commercially sealed should be double ziplocked or sealed in some form or fashion so that it DOES NOT LEAK, STAIN, SMELL-UP or OTHERWISE ENDANGER the cigars also in the box. Please use common sense in this area… such as liquids are a bad idea! If there is any question or concerns, contact me via PM and I'll let you know.7. Post your dog(s) name and brief description of the included dog treat as well as your dog(s) opinion of what they got. (tail wags, barfed it up, and so on)8. Please notify next person in line via a post in this thread prior to shipping to confirm they are ready to recieve the pass.9. Ship the package via USPS PRIORITY and post the Delivery Confirmation Number (DC#) in the forum. For you newer CP members, use online shipping from USPS.Com - you get free DC#'s! Of course, faster shipping is allowed but not required.10. Give your dog(s) a scratch for me and most of all, Have fun!And here's the final catch to this pass. All cigars returning home to me, regardless of what they are and who put them, will be sent to my buddy's unit in Iraq. Period. And before anyone asks, finds out or whatever, my buddy is back from Iraq safe and sound. But I know these are guys that are from pretty much every branch of service, and country. I got some great emails from these guys about all the boxes I have sent them in the past. And since they enjoyed them so much, I am continuing with it even now that my buddy is home. It should be one hell of a box! Also, just so it's known... the final recipients of this pass have been given the pass thread address, and been encouraged to watch and even join in with comments!
