Snickerdoodles and Snowballs

Crisco for the first and butter in the later!

.We made a double batch of each. 12 dozen--ish! ???

We 'cross' the snickerdoodles with a fork when we press them on the sheet..
The kind we make are not 'light' but more crisp and great for dunkin'.

The snowballs are just sugary-goodness!!!
These are rolled in powdered sugar when warm and more when they cool!

I grew up making these with the family.
If you eat one from every tray....well, I now have a tummy ache!

We're making the obligatory cookies and milk for Santa. Nothing fancy just some sugar cookies and chocolate chippers.

Didn't make any, however, my mom always makes a ton and then sends them off to us kids that can't make it home for Christmas.

This year it's:

cream wafers
peanut butter cookies
2 types of sugar cookies
chocolate oatmeal
raisin
chocolate covered cherry
krumkake (norwegian waffle cookie)
chocolate kiss cookies
gingerbread
snickerdoodles
spritz cookies

and
english toffee

I wonder if the snowball cookies are similar to a cookie my mom makes from time to time called "russian tea cakes." She didn't make any this year unfortunately.

Made a couple of batches of no-bake cookies. Milk, butter, sugar, cocoa, peanut butter and oatmeal. Lay em out on wax paper and they harden right up if you did it right! :)

Here's the recipe I've been using: http://allrecipes.co...s-i/Detail.aspx

Wife was a machine this year:

10 pumkin nut rolls (these are killer, and a magnificent pain in the ass (PITA))
15dozen pizelles (family recipe)
15 dozen christmas cookies (basically plain sugar cookies)
4 dozen chocolate chip (store mix)
4 dozen chocolate chocolate chip (store mix)
about 5 pounds of micorwave fudge (cheater's fudge made of chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butter salt...stuff like that)

We had a cookie exchange party Saturday. I baked all the cookies on our end, cause I'm the resident cook/ baker.

Made a double batch of my famous chocolate chippers, a batch of snickredoodles for the first time, a batch of peanut butter chocolate chipers, and a double batch of sugar cookies that the kids used the cutters and decorated.

last week I made caramels CARAMEL Holy effing shit this was freaking awesome!
