Any new music suggestions?

Yesterday I bought Rosanne Cash's The List. I thought it might be a little twangy for my tastes. I was wrong. What a great album of American Roots music.

Been listening to Gregg Allman's Low Country Blues lately. All covers but one track. And all well done in my opinion

If you want i tossed this together, throw it on in the background sometime and see if anything strikes you

Red Wanting Blue. My all time favorite band, but no ones ever heard of them, outside of Ohio and Nebraska. Based out of Ohio, in my bias opinion no one comes close to being as good as them as an non mainstream band. Plus, I know all the members pretty well.

I would go with the Fleet Foxes album as my best new music of the year.

Two brilliant suggestions. Fleet Foxes are a regular in my rotation. I've been digging on the Punch Brothers. Chris Thile (mandolin virtuoso) and the entire band are amazing. Definately worth a listen. They've been called the Radiohead of bluegrass.

For whatever reason, I'm liking Mumford & Sons lately.

I'm with you, B. These guy crank on the banjo like there Trujillo from Metallica.

I too am diggin' Mumford and Sons lately myself. Great band.
Speaking of banjo , and Metallica - there is a band called "Iron Horse" and they are
an amazing bluegrass band. They have a tribute album to Metallica called " Fade to Bluegrass".
They also did an amazing tribute to Modest Mouse called " Picken on the Modest" . Great, great
albums IMO if your into that style of music....

As long as it's not Hayseed Dixie. GAWD, that was unlistenable...

Freebird!

;)

I am, and always will be, A Jethro Tull fan.

Couldn't agree more. I have both of those albums in my playlist. I especially enjoy the Modest Mouse tribute.

Just picked up the CD today. What a unique group. Some very complex music.

Have you ever heard Jon Justice out of Cincinatti? Great rock/blues band.

I've been enjoying the new Foo Fighters album quite a bit. If that's your style of music, give it a spin, I think it's pretty solid from start to finish.

The entire Black Keys library has been on shuffle/repeat for the past several months at home and in the car.

Love Mumford and Sons! If you like the Irish sound, check out The Elders sometime. Great band out of Kansas City.

I've never actually heard The Black Keys, though I've been meaning to check them out. I've been listening to the new FF a lot, too. "Speed Of Darkness" from Flogging Molly has been getting lots of play, too. I've been listening to a lot of rockabilly like Jack Rabbit Slim and Setzer, of course. At night I usually have Diana Krall on shuffle while my daughter goes to sleep. It's been pretty eclectic, lately.
