This year I will be in San Antonio for Thanksgiving, visiting my sister. If any of our Texas brothers are up for getting together for a smoke, let me know! The best days would be either the tuesday of that week, or that weekend. I'll have a rental car, so I'm willing to drive a bit. Also, if you have any recommendations on B&M's there, please let me know!

I'd like to figure out a way to get down there and meet up. I've got family coming in on Wed, but I think by Friday I'll be clear. I don't know the B&M's but I've heard good things about:

The Finck's Outlet has a nice little smoking lounge and a good group of people who smoke there, but the BIG attraction, of course, is that they've turned an entire freakin' house into a humidor. Worth visiting just for the awe factor, and the prices are very good.

http://clubhumidor.com/ is a chain of very nice cigar lounges---the one in the Menger Hotel is the original, but they have several locations around town now.

If I wasn't going to visit the in-laws in MS I'd be up for it. Have fun. I have no useful information since I haven't been to SA in over 7 years and didn't smoke at the time.

Heroes and Legacies is sweeeeeet . . . they have a walkin humidor INSIDE their walkin humidor, for the good stuff . . . and a big fancy freestanding humidor with locked drawers out front for the Opus stock. Plus a GREAT smoking lounge.

I was planning to be in Austin that weekend actually. Hoping to go up there to do some cycling. I'll be heading up there on Saturday and will be going towards SA and 71 up to Austin.. I'll check back to see where/when things go down.

edit* I'll actually be in West Austin from the 26-28th

Thanks for all the suggestions, gentlemen. I'd love to meet some of you. Maybe we can drive up to Austin...It sounds like that's where more CPers are? I know little about Texan geography.

Not a whole lot of CPers there...more in Houston and Dallas, and a couple in SA. Though, Austin is pretty central to all of us.

Doubt I personally could make it...but I'll see what we have on the calendar.

I'm pretty much the only active CPer in Austin(unless there are some lurkers hanging about, in which case, PM me). There's a couple of new guys in SA who might not be seeing this thread, a couple of guys in South Texas, but the rest are mostly in Houston and Dallas.

Anyone else besides Audi want to join up or going to be in the area?

Still in, but I'll be staying in Houston for the weekend. Realized the cost of the resort would be better spent on the toy car which needs a new motor. So if there are any Houston peeps who want a ride up there just let me know. My car sits two.. all of them.

Let me check my timetable, but I'll say maybe. I don't think I have to do anything that night unless I don't get some stuff accomplished earlier. We talking Austin or SA?

SA would be easiest for me, but I can probably get to Austin.

If we meet in SA we'll have to ditch Finck's for sure, their website says they close at 7. I might be able to make it there before 7, but not in enough time to enjoy a cigar before they close.

I've never been to Club Humidor but they're open until 9. That'd give us a little time.

Michael, you still up for this?

That sounds great to me. The Mrs. will probably start to peter out around 9 anyway.
