Any recommendations for "creamy" and strong cigars

Howdy all, greetings from Hong Kong!

Have been smoking for about 2 years - looking for cigars that are "creamy" and smooth, but also strong enough to give me a buzz.  So far, vintage Cohiba (Siglo VI, Esplendido) do the trick.   It's said the real test of a good smoke is whether you want to smoke the final third.  Never had a problem with Cohibas, smoke them to the very end.  Downside is they also happen to be very expensive out here..... (talking retail price US$50 a stick for Esplendido) which is why I'm looking for something similar (robusto size is fine, don't have time to do Churchills regularly!) that can serve as more of an everyday smoke.

Hoyo du Gourmet is grassy and smooth but very light.  Ditto Quai D'Orsay.  I find Montecristo very woody and takes effort for me to finish.....

Any recommendations from folks here?  I have read that vintage (varnished) Partagas 898 is chocolaty (but harsh - i.e. don't smoke new 898s unless you enjoy really spicy earth flavors), haven't tried Upmann but read that it's like a milder version of Cohiba.  Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

My recommendation is you read and abide by the rules of the community you have asked to join.

Then use search and explore the boards, you never know what you might find. Out you can take Gary's advice.

Why are you looking for a "buzz"? Typically you don't find smooth and buzz in the same smoke. Especially not usually found in Habanos.

X2 Buena Vista

Camacho Corojo

I can't say I have ever had the combination of strong and creamy.  Graycliff G-2 is creamy' but mild (at a great pricepoint).  You might try one.

Welcome.

Oliva Connecticut (Toro best)

Perdomo Habano Corojo

Higher price point and not as full BUT wonderfull creamy body and flavor: Davidoff Millenium Lancero, Perdomo Edición de Silvio Robusto and PC

Welcome to Cigar Pass.  Oh wait, this isn't an introdcution thread?!?! :whistling:

EPC Connecticuts. Not super spice, but a good amount of kick for a creamy Connie wrapper.

Jack Schwartz just got some of the last Davidoff Millenium Lanceros in stock!

I can't afford high end cigars right now but I remembered this post when I saw Eric's email.

As for creamy, I can say that H. Upmann No. 2s deliver that in spades.  These really have a different character than Cohibas do.  In my experience, H. Upmanns have a certain nuttiness to them that is completely absent in Cohibas, whereas the latter have a honey and grassy character that you don't find in H. Upmanns.  Also, I haven't had one recently, but Partagas Lusitanias come to mind.
