. . . and it's wonderful.  Arran seems to like the word "the" a lot---THE Arran Malt, THE Cask Finishes, THE Amarone Cask Finish . . . but no matter.  This is an excellent dram! 100 proof, no age statement, on sale at my local Spec's for $59.00, and lovely, lovely stuff.  It's aged in bourbon casks and then finished in Amarone della Valpolicella casks---a rich, dry Italian red made from partially dried grapes---which brings a distinctive set of flavors to the party.

The tube describes it as having notes of chocolate, cherries, and Turkish delight.  Not sure what Turkish Delight is, but the first impression on tasting is indeed chocolate, followed by the 100 proof spicy burn. It opens into dried fruits and then finishes with honeyed fig tones and a bit of pepper. Full, rounded mouthfeel and a clean nose with hints of raisin.

Goes great with strong cigars.
