Beautiful chocolate brown wrapper

First third was very nondescript  Smoke didn't really taste like very much of anything.
The wrapper was the best tasting thing about the cigar!
Smoke had a cheap almost cigarette-like smell to it...ew
The wrapper on the other hand tasted great.

It burned OK until about half-way in and then it canoed terribly - about 1/2 inch.
Right about this time it started to smoke HOT. I don't mean like a white/red/black pepper I mean HOT. I thought it was gonna burn a hole in my tongue!
I don't know if this was from the canoeing or not.
It also kept trying to go out and occasionally I'd draw on it and get nothing.

It left a decent taste in my mouth but that was probably from the wrapper.
I could still taste it 2 hours later - kind of a sweet leather taste I guess.

One weird thing I noticed was that the smoke in the air was borderline rank smelling but the smell it left on my hand and arm was tolerable. Strange right?

Sounds pretty much on par with the whole Gurkha experience.

I haven't had a Gurkha that I've like yet.....wait a minute - I've never tried one.

Diapanos, when you get a chance you should really try out the Newbie Sampler Trade. You'll be introduced to some good cigars that you probably haven't tried yet. Besides Kid Montana is up next and that fugger has a big time Opus collection.  :p

I agree with Kris, but don't buy from Jason (Backslide) he only smokes Gurkha.

Bad news is I still have 19 more of those damn things :(

Give them to buddies who come over and don't normally enjoy cigars. They will smoke half of it, put it out, and be thankful that you gave them a cigar.

X2 Kid is a great guy to deal with. He has a ridiculous collection of cigars as well. Do yourself a favor and spend 100-200 dollars and you will be amazed.

Maybe next month when I have more money.

I've had 1 Gurkha that I enjoyed, but that was 5 years ago and I can't remember which they were.

But backslide only uses them to infuse with flavors, such as taint sweat, booty juice and other such adventurous creations! ;)

Don't remember where I saw it but one guy said he injected liquor into the cigar to infuse them. Maybe I'll try that with the Gurkhas once I get another smaller humidor.
