Please post your favorite cigar lounge, under the following conditions:

  1. You know the owner.
  2. The lounge is friendly and welcoming.
  3. At least 8 people can be seated in the lounge.

I'm working on an idea I recently had, which I think most any lounge would appreciate.  Please post your favorite lounges here, and I'll PM you the details.

Hands down the nicest place I've been to with the most amenities and customer service:

Casa De Montecristo in Countryside, IL.

This place is unbelievable in regards to cleanliness and set up.  I know the owner personally (Sam), and he is top notch in his knowledge on cigars and the business as a whole.

Favorite Cigar?
Padron 1926

1) Yes, I've met the owner.  However, I would not claim to "know" him.
2) The lounge is awesome, relaxed atmosphere, nice people.
2) I would suspect it seats about 12.

The only local place I smoke at is Stag Tobacconist. The owner Veronica is a sweetheart. The lounge has a great variety of warn personalities and seats 10 by design and 14ish with added folding chairs.

Mission Pipe in Pleasanton.

The owner is a pretty cool guy, and the staff is really welcoming.
Seats 8-10 in the lounge comfortably.

Castro's Back Room, Depot St. Concord NH. Owned by Erik Kilbane, who is one hell of a nice guy. Pool table, place to play cards, large screen TV, great selection of cigars, you couldn't ask for more. Oh, and it's BYOB! I even took Coventry Cat there and he loved it.

2 selections for my current and former residences:

Le Casa de Tobacco, Atlanta, Ga.

1. Pablo Nunez, good friend.
2. Friendly, but...you need a thick skin depending on the crowd.
3. Two seating areas, each with a flat screen TV.

Nice cigar selection, convenient location.

And if your in Denver, Stanley Pappas Cigars in/near the DTC. Centennial address I believe.

Stanley Pappas Cigars.

1. Her dad owns it, but Theo runs it. Beautiful woman who knows her smokes and keeps a really nice shop.
2. Good crowd and nice events. Especially during Bronco season. Game tables too.
3. Nice seating area with fireplace. And her uncle owns the Greek restaurant around the corner.

Tobacco Grove in Maple Grove, MN

Outlaw (North & South) KCMO metro area

Corona Cigar Orlando FL

These 3 gets my vote!

Lately my cigar lounge of choice is my backyard. :)

The Hill Cigar Company.

Indoor and outdoor seating.  Big screen, they hold some nice events there and BYOB makes it nice.  There are some resident crotchety, know-it-all old assholes there, but they blow over pretty quickly.

There's really only the one local place here, the back room lounge at Tobacco World cigars.  I've been going through three locations and two owners now!  Cuban dominos, three big flat screens, comfy chairs (never enough chairs, though, on busy nights) and all us regulars keep bottles of Scotch under the counter.

Nicest lounge I've ever been in was CIGAR up in San Antonio.  Can't claim to know the owner, although I did meet him while I was there.  Very friendly, hospitable, and easy going. Buddy of mine and I hung out for an afternoon; they were slow but he went back on a weekend and said it was pretty packed.  Big oversized leather chairs (seating for about 20-30 people) with flat screens set into the walls and plenty of cocktail tables and ashtrays, a coffee bar,  two or three poker/gaming tables and a pool table.  Shop up front with a big walk in humidor.  Just an awesome place!

Absolutely Doc. Eric is one hell of a generous guy too. He also has two more shops - one in Nashua and Manchester, NH. All of his shops accommodate more than 8 people. Friendly environment and good BOTL's. The one in Manchester, NH has a nice bar too.

I love Castros for sure but for me I has to be...

Twins Smoke Shop in Londonderry NH. Yes I know the owner and most of the staff. Kurt Kendall (also the owner of 7-20-4) is a great guy and very generous. The Londonderry store has a full liquor license and plenty of room for more than 20-30 the bar itself seats 10+ And there is a nice deck out back when the weather permits. I have yet to meet an in friendly person there and boy do the women there know how to pour a drink.

Alcorn Cigars in Webster Groves, MO (or just outside of Webster).

Harold is the owner and he is very engaging, yet not overbearing.

It seats more than 8 and he also has frequent events.

Cindy is usual there and if ya can't get along with her, ya can't get along with anyone.  She's there because she wants to be, not because she has to be.

**I'll also 2nd the nod for The Hill Cigar Company in St. Louis.  Very nice place.

Barlow's in Lafayette, CO. Owner is Sam, a real great guy. Locals that hang out there are good people, too. This was my go-to place when I was living in Colorado.

Sam and crew do great work by serving meals to homeless in Boulder, organizing Christmas gift buys for kids that need it, charity events, etc. Plus cigar events, of course, supporting multiple things. I really miss hanging out at this place.

Don't forget about the Boce ball.

Edited because the auto correct is stupid.

I was originally thinking Alcorn, Harold is a nice owner and has some good events and the place is fairly comfortable.  Used to be in a gas station and he has ramped it up a bit.  The only knock on Alcorn is the high humidity of some of the humidors, to the point where cigars have mold, and no it is not plume.  It does have fewer blowhards and has a homey, comfortable feel.  So here is my second for Alcorn.

Habana Premium Cigar Shoppe

1). Scotty Bendett. Loves to walk around the lounge and talk with everyone. Very welcoming.
2). Absolutely. Always going to be the groups of regulars that keep withing themselves, but by and larges a nice, friendly place.
3) Greaat capacity. Have seen upwards of 35-40 at events, otherwise very comfortable seating for about 15-20 in a few different seating areas.

Thanks for the list so far.  I'll PM you over the next few days with more info.
