Short n’ fat. No, not me…or my fingers (thank you Matthew). That’s what this Monte Petit Edmundo is. Actually, I measured the cigar and although lengthwise it’s right on with the correct measurement, the ring gauge is quite off, measuring in at around 57/58. The cigar has a medium brown wrapper with noticeable oil and prominent veins. I punch the cap with the largest ring gauge, which still looks too small, and find a perfect draw.

After putting fire to the foot, I take a couple puffs and then a long draw and find a perfect amount of spice on the throat with the smoke being medium in body. Flavors are downright delicious with a fantastic richness and tastes of toasted nuts, wood, and tangy citrus.

The burn is sharp with a medium to light gray ash forming that holds well. Medium bodied smoke flows effortlessly through the perfect draw. Flavors remain consistent throughout the smoke down to the nubby little end, deliciously rich with a finish that lasted long after exhaling. Not much better than a Montecristo that is smoking good, other than a nice Boli! :D

Besides the H. Upmann 46, THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE MOST FAVORITE ISOM ever. Killer man, killer.

I've had two of these, both plugged to the point that they were basically unsmokable. What little I did get to taste, they were excellent.

Just happened to be smoking one of these when came across this. These are definitely one of my favorites. Thanks for the review!

The secret's out! Why is this better than an Edmundo, as I experienced?

The petit is a fabulous cigar. I would highly recomend it to anyone who was on. The fence, although I'm sure reading Kingantz reviewed helps.

My favorite part of the whole review. You owe me a new keyboard Greg.

As always, great review my friend! :)

Nice review.

These are always on the short list when I go to Cuba, but have seen very few and never a full box for some reason.

One of the Monte's on my short list of must try vitolas. Great review, makes me want one even more.
