Got off work a little early today so thought I’d head out with a Tatuaje rolled for the Outlaw. This is one gorgeous looking stick with dark brown wrapper, noticeable tooth throughout, and slight oil glistening in the sun. It seems a bit light in the hand, is firm when squeezed, and sniffing the foot I get a strong coffee and cocoa smell that seems rich. After punching the cap with the largest ring on my Victorinox, I test the draw and find a perfect resistance with the same rich coffee and cocoa taste coming through.

With the foot torched and burning well, I take a couple quick puffs and then a long draw that brought forth a fairly strong, black pepper spice on the tongue and throat. The smoke itself is medium in strength and somewhat heavy on the palate. Rich flavors of strong espresso and sweet cocoa flow over the palate, incredibly delicious and lasting on the finish.

The first quarter reveals a sharp burn with a mottled light and medium gray ash forming that holds well until tapped off leaving a very dark, slightly coned coal and a lighter binder ash. The smoke is a good medium to almost full strength with a slightly heavy body that settles perfectly on the tongue after exhaling slowly leaving an incredibly rich finish full of the same espresso and sweet cocoa flavors as previously described.

Halfway and into the final third, the cigar performs perfectly with sharp burn, perfect draw, and rich flavors coming through in the medium to full strength smoke. This was indeed an excellent cigar and with even more downtime, I believe these will really shine. Fantastic cigar!

Very nice Greg. From your description it sounds like a cousin to the Reserva SW, which might be my favorite of the line.

Thanks for the review...have been really wondering what these smoke like. Planning on giving mine another two weeks of rest before sparking one up.
