Almost Spring like this morning, already right at 55F with the sun warming it up nicely. Crows are cawing like mad to the left with Blue Jays screeching back at them, noisy ass birds! Got a fresh brewed cup of coffee on the warmer and a PC sized RYJ to put fire to. The wrapper is Rosado in color with slight marbling, and I can see a bit of oil as well. It is quite heavy in the hand and rock hard when squeezed, which makes me believe it may be plugged. Sure enough, after clipping off the head, I can get zero air through…dagnabbit!

I go ahead and torch the foot and puff on the cigar to try and get something through to hopefully warm the tobacco up a bit; however it just isn’t going to happen. I went ahead and got my draw tool out, slowly slid it all the way to the fire, pulled it back out, and then tested the draw again. Eureka! It worked! Smoked flowed through well enough and was medium in strength with a nice kick of spice on the back of the throat. Flavors were fantastic, somewhat floral or maybe herbal on the palate with cedar wood in the finish.

Of course after a couple good draws the cigar became plugged once more, so had to use the draw tool to open it back up. The burn was sharp with a medium gray ash that held strong most of the time. When I did get a good draw through, flavors were rich and delicious with the smoke a good medium to almost full strength, the finish lasting on the palate.

I had to continuously use my draw tool throughout the entire smoke, which was a bit aggravating, but I must say worth it as the cigar was incredibly good. Other than the draw, the burn remained sharp throughout with rich, delicious flavors and a very lasting finish on the palate. Deeelicious!

(sorry about the pics, had to use the iPhone)
