Cigar Pass Checklist to help you successfully assemble your Cigar Pass
We have compiled a list of necessary information regarding your Cigar Pass. This list will help to assist you with your pass.
Things to include in your Pass before you ship it out:
List of Members in your pass. Be sure to include everyone’s address, and make sure the list is compiled in pass order. In other words, list each member by how you want the box shipped. The best way to determine pass order is geographically. This will keep the shipping distance to a minimum — it will greatly speed up your pass, thus making it much more efficient.
Include a short letter. It’s always a good idea to include a short letter with your pass. You can also specify different or additional pass rules. Be sure to include a “Take/Put’s” sheet if you would like to know who Put/Took which cigars.
Be sure to include a durable tuper’dor (tupperware to act as a humidor). Make sure you include a humidifier too.
Use a good box. Your shipping box is going to be used more than it was intended to be used! So be sure it’s kept up to shape. Don’t use anything cheap. Use a good solid box.
Pack it well. You will typically start your pass off with around 10 or 15 cigars. Be sure you use appropriate packaging material in your tuper’dor. If the cigars are moving around, add some foam peanuts; cushion the cigars well. Also, make sure your tuper’dor is packed securely in the box. Use plenty of peanuts. You don’t want to send off a box of pipe tobacco…
It’s a good idea to type out shipping labels, and organize them in pass order. You don’t have to do this, but it’s a nice gesture to each person in the pass.
Don’t forget the cigars!
Now you are ready to send your Cigar Pass off…
