Just dropping in to wish everyone a wonderful holiday.

I wish I had more time these days but running an audio business and a woodworking business has really got my hands full. I really miss the lively conversations with all my friends here. I do want to wish you all a wonderful holiday and I hope you enjoy lots of family and friends. God bless you...

    My latest project.

This truck belongs to Rize industries, they build some of the nicest lift kits for those of us that like to see above traffic & need something a bit more aggressive to get our other off-road toys out to the desert. I'll be building 4 custom doors along with a new console to accommodate 2 10"...

Building my first wine cellar, any advice?

Of course I'm not known for doing things small. My first wine cellar build is for approximately 3000 bottles. On top of that, I decided to challenge myself by dovetailing every single bottle rest into its vertical column. That adds up to about 6000 + dovetail joints. So far they are coming out...

    Just dropping in.

I've been away for a while, been crazy busy. My woodworking has taken me in a different direction. I've now been building a wine cellar and doing a lot more segmented turning. Still enjoying cigars regularly but not much extra time. Just thought you guys might enjoy this. It's a segmented...

    Carbon Fiber console.

First I want to say I'm not looking to sell one of these or anything like it. I spent 2 weeks just hand sanding the epoxy to a smooth finish. My finger prints are literally gone. This stuff is harder than steel. Thought you motor heads might enjoy it though. This is a Carbon Fiber console I'm...

    Let the build begin

Many of you know I own a Mobile electronics business, what most don't know is that we do complete customization from clunker to killer. This project is our new shop truck. It's a 98 Tahoe with a 2" body drop, 3 link rear suspension, drop A-Arm front suspension and of all things, a 59 Impala...

    Stopped in Casa Fuente

While I was in Las Vegas for the CES show I stopped in Casa Fuente. Not only do they have an incredible selection of great cigars, they also have wonderful customer service. We sat & had a couple cigars and a few drinks. Our server was a wonderful young girl. Was happy to discuss the store and...

    CIA humor

The CIA is infamous for the acronyms of their projects. Their latest shows they even have a sense of humor. The task force is called "Wkikleaks Task Force" or otherwise called WTF.

fan assisted humidifier in desk top.

Someone asked me about using a fan assisted humidifier in a desk top like an Oasis. I would think it could saturate some cigars in the humi so I recommended a Heart felt humidifier. I figured I'd ask my fellow experts if anyone has done this successfully just in case I'm wrong about this.

    Geocashing cigars.

My BIL and I go riding quads and do what's called Geocaching. All over the USA are hidden containers with trinkets in them and sign in books. You can take a trinket and replace it with something else. Some even have stuff from all over the world. How does this tie to cigars? I'm going to use my...

    Graphics four prerunner

A while back I posted a pic of the prerunner we're building. Here is a little update on the graphics. Right now it's just black and white but it'll soon get some color added to it. (Sorry for the mis-spelling of for. Wasn't paying attention.) Here's the chassis.

    Smoking on the mountain top.

My BIL just got a new Yamaha Grizzly so we needed to go break it in. Once we got to the mountain top we took a break for a cigar. Here's some pics of the view from the top of the world. This was an awesome day for sure. What a great place to relax and enjoy a cigar.

I saw this listing and was concerned that Bob might be getting his name knocked off. http://cgi.ebay.com/ARISTOCRAT-150-LACQUER-CHERRYWOOD-150-CIGAR-HUMIDOR-/250619606468?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0

    I hate when that happens.....

What have you done lately that you really "Hate when that happens" I was just in the middle of a synthetic oil change on my Cummins diesel truck (12 quarts at almost 80 bucks) I got a phone call from my LOML and then from a customer. I went back and started putting oil in the motor to realize...

    Elton John Live last night

Saw my first Elton John concert last night. What an amazing performance!!! Almost everything he played was his older music. His voice was perfect and his piano skills were so good that he will make your hair stand on end. He canceled the first night due to food poisoning so he went the extra...

    For you cooler guys

Personally I don't use a cooler. I did come across these though, seems like it would work fantastic for a humi. Don't know if the price makes it worth while but maybe the prices are better it some stores. http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemancom/detail.asp?product_id=5644-760&categoryid=8570&brand=

You never know what you will find

We pulled out an old Kraco am fm 8 track/CB from the dash of a 1972 Blazer today. It was held in place with this old cigar box lid. It was suggested they were La Aroma cigars. This has to be at least 30 years old. The stuff I've come across to hold a radio in over the years is quite comical.

    Humidor building lesson

For those of you planning on building your own humidor let this be a lesson. When building a humidor, one of the most important things to consider is wood movement. Wood is a powerful thing. If you don't allow for movement or you try to frame a top made from solid wood, you may encounter a...
