Cooperstown, NY question

My son's birthday is coming up and he wants to go to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Any locals have any suggestions on which airport to fly into, where to stay, and what we can expect in mid-October? I don't know if we're going to go yet, but I'd like to get some info and start planning.

I'm not local, but have been looking into a trip up there for next spring. I found a place to stay up there that seems to offer some pretty cool packages. If anyone local does chime in, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Inn at Cooperstown.

Tom, that does look cool! He's just 8 years old though so it might be a bit much for him. Maybe I'll book it for me and let him fend for himself. LOL
