Can anyone offer a solution to my issue, both my humidors were doing fine with temp / humidity up untill 2weeks ago. Now my temperature ranges between 66-78 and the humidity is 75-78%. I can not figure out way it was good for 4 months and now its fluctuating. Any help would be appreciated.

The temp can affect humidity. I’m sure you can figure out why your humidor is hot.,,

Ambient temperature and humidity matter....what are yours? For example, your humidifier will have a hard time holding 65% if the ambient RH is 80%....

First things first, try to find a way to stabilize the temperature.
Is it in a spot where the sun comes through a window, or does the room it is in have that big a temp swing.

I can get swings like that on the upper level of my house, but the basement stays much more consistent.

You could try placing dry RH beads throughout your humidor, if your RH is staying too high. Adjust amount of beads as needed.

Exactly. For years, the summer humidity in my basement was always 65-70%. Using 65% bovedas, it would always get up to 68%RH in my humidor and would result in bad draws, etc.

I finally purchased a portable dehumidifier, and now my basement humidity is around 50%. using 65% bovedas results in 63-64% RH in my humidor now. My cigars some perfectly now!
