Skiing in Steamboat Springs, CO: Anyone in the area?

My wife and I are skiing Steamboat, arriving next Saturday, March 14th. Just checking if anyone is from the area that might want to meet up sometime during the week.

The big questions: is there a place to enjoy a cigar in the Yampa Valley? A quick google search says Steamboat has a strict smoking ban -- but how all encompassing is the ban? No cigar-friendly places anywhere?

Looking forward to the trip -- and hope there are some folks from CP in the area.

Anthem --

No Porches for us -- we simply didn't need the room (no family or friends accompanying us). Throw in the economic conditions as a factor and we decided to make this trip on the cheap.

We're in town in a smallish inn/lodge recommended by a friend who was in Steamboat in January. We figured we will ski all day, stay around the base for late afternoon cocktails, head to the room for a shower, and back out. And we hoped there was a place to enjoy a good cigar!!!!

Many of the mountain towns are serious liberal, socialist enclaves. They need to better understand who butters their bread, but it won't help much.

That's funny, and very true. At least the Liberal part is, I didn't meet anyone who claimed to be a Socialist. Still, I had a great time in Steamboat last year (Peace Corps reunion, more hippies... :) ). Oh, and I do know someone who is in Steamboat right now (per the thread's question). Her name is Katie. She's 30 years of age, single, hot, and the daughter of a not-so-liberal judge.

She's thin, she's tall, she's blonde... Good luck!

My uncle,

NOT a liberal

Owns the Porches.

It is such a small town I figured you may be staying with them.

Next time you go out let me know.

Oh, and btw, I must have smoked 10 cigars while I was there. Each one from a hot tub overlooking the mountains (although, it's tough to 'not' be overlooking the mountains, I guess). All those dead and dying evergreens were a bit depressing... :(
