Can plume transfer to the box?

That actually reminded me of a story! I was in a cigar shop in Atlanta and noticed that the humidity in the humidor was like a jungle. I walked to the back where they kept the high-end stuff. Unfortunately that's also where they kept the humidor. It was pumping out humidity like Old Faithful...

Can plume transfer to the box?

I've worked in a cigar shop for a while now, and sometimes mold just plain happens. No matter how well you keep up the humidor, it just happens sometimes. Tubos and cedros especially. Now we have had cigars with bloom, and we've had cigars with mold. When I find bloom I carefully explain how it...

    Palio Cutters

I have 2 black ones which work WONDEFULLY. I've also had 2 carbon fiber ones, but both of them disappeared within a week of me getting them in the mail. So whatever you do, don't get the carbon fiber ones - the little suckers disappear for some reason.

    Pete Johnson's newest creation

Just got on 'The List' at Sabor in FL. There's only 10 boxes left, so pick them up while you can! You know, I dind't think to ask the price before putting my name on the list. Hopefully he sticks somewhere near MSRP since there is no state tax in Florida.

Is that bloom on my stick?

Bloom that grows on the band. That is the best kind! Sorry to hear about that man, hope it isn't a loss! After reading tons of horror stories I now ensure that NOTHING is touching the back of my winador.

    Whats with Ebay ?

After seeing what some of these go for on Ebay I need to start listing some of my Opus X 'bands'! I'd never buy them off ebay, as there's no recourse for getting something that is either a badly humidified cigar, or a crap cigar with the advertised band on it. It is their little...

    Who steals cigars?!

That sucks man - I hate people who impose like that! I keep cigars that I don't mind sharing in my VinoTemp and a small CAO Vision humidor (The I-Humidor.) out where people can get to it. I keep the good stuff in the coolerdor in my bedroom. My roommates have been informed that anyone...

    I STILL got it.

I think my status as a newbie to CP has me at a disadvantage. What IS that thing?!

Don't always know what I got.

This is what I always recommend to new cigar smokers who come into the shop and aren't sure what they will like: 1. Always buy 2. You'd be amazed how many times I don't like a cigar, then try the second one a little bit later and I realize I actually do like it. 2. Save all your bands. When...

Humidor's temp is usually in the low-mid 70's -- that OK?

They didn't mean freeze the humi - they meant freeze the sticks! I live in Southern Georgia and refuse to pay a $250 electric bill, so during the 8 months of summer I usually keep my AC at 85 while I'm gone, and 75 once I get home. I used to freak out about my cigars getting beetles too (they...

1st attempt at a Cigar Chick

Oh man, she gets 3 thumbs up! ;)

    Cigar bid

Yup! I always double check that before I submit my bids. I am actually really grateful for the idiots that bid 10 times what the cigar is worth - it keeps Cbid in business and lets me get some GREAT deals! I have bags of VSGs at home, and I've never paid over $10 for any of them on cbid.

    Opus X Forbidden X Lancero

I just smoked my last one yesterday (The third I've ever tried). Not sure how much they cost because they were all gifted to me, but they are WONDERFUL. Normally Opus X is hit or miss with me. I either LOVE it, or feel it's a little bland. Those lanceros though you never have to worry. The thin...

    What'cha think?

Yeah, Digital City Hosting didn't pay their bills, so all my web domains are out. Needless to say I'm PISSED. On another note, with that graphic what I'm doing is in the empty space above the gun I'm gluing some high-end bands (Opus X, Forbidden X, GoF, Padron Anniv, etc) - then in the empty...

    Digital City Hosting

For anyone who uses Digital City Hosting, I guess they haven't paid their bills. All of the websites I run are gone, and even their main website is out. I googled them and it looks like everyone who uses them is down right now. It pisses me off because besides using them for my photography...

    i've got to know....

Cupido Criollo from 1997. I was gifted a fiver of Cuban Davidoffs from 1980. We burned through those at a herf. I always worry about cigars that are too old (had a ISOM Bolivar from '92 that was too bland), but both the Cupidos and the Davidoffs were sublime.

    Cigar bid

I always laugh when I see a SINGLE cigar going for over $75 (usually Gurkha) - but since the picture shows an entire box I'm convinced that the person thinks they're getting a GREAT deal on a box of cigars.

    Doc and Mealstrom

Enjoy guys! I saw you had some super high-enders on your wishlists, so I figured I'd take care of all of them for you. Enjoy!

    What'cha think?

It was for a guy who sends out a TON of bombs and is a huge gangster movie fan. He loves Godfather, Sopranos, and Scarface. I made it more in that light than the smoking kills light - although I didn't think about that aspect of it! I wanted it to look like the gun had been fired, but have that...

Why it's fun to be a cigar n00b

To save on shipping you might want to select the option of saving all your orders and shipping them out on Thursdays. I usually get them the following Tuesday or Wednesday. That way you only pay 1 shipping fee per week instead of a whole bunch of separate ones.
