What Beer Did You Drink Today (2018)

Golfed a round this morning and did a scramble this afternoon. Finishing up some honey-dos around the kitchen, decided to take a break and have a beer, burn a few Chimenea logs.

Moylan's Scotch Ale. Old friend of mine. It was one of the first "crazy beers" I sought out after hearing it was good all those years ago. I guess they had to change the name because it used to be called Kilt Lifter.

I thought that was an interesting idea when I heard about it. How are they?

It's an interesting 4 beers, for sure. I think it's pretty well done and in each, you can still taste the BOMB!, with the adjunct up front. Is It worth the $$$ for the 4 pack? It is for the one time experiment, IMHO.

This thread always makes me want to go straight from work to the beer world market (actual name of the store I get my beers from). Last time I went I got some more KBS and a 6 pack of Nitro milk stout (which tasted like they were previously frozen, that watery taste, first time I've had them so I don't know if that's their thing). I was looking for the BA 1050 and they had a 4 pack of cans for $23 bucks, does this sounds right to you gents? I mean, I payed $23.50 for the 4 KBS so I don't mind paying for it if it's worth it.
I paid $12 for one stovepipe can of BA 1050.

Purchased some local beers, Keegan Ales Mother's Milk (not so local, about 45 miles away from me) and Peekskill Brewery Eastern Standard (about 5 minutes away from my house )

I had one of each today and Keegan Mother's milk is definitely better and fuller than Nitro Milk Stout.

I don't know much about the world of beers but I must say, this has been one of the best tasting beers that I have ever had to date. So flavourful with a lot of fruity citrus notes. I have had a few IPA's and none of them tasted like this one. It was so refreshing. I can't believe that the place producing these beers are only a few minutes away from me! I'll have to go visit them one of these weekends.

A Unibroue Grande Reserve 17 from 2012. Very nice! Spices were muted, but very oak forward still.

Wednesday they held the volunteer party where we get to drink left over bottles and kegs brought by the different breweries from all over the US. I forgot to take a picture of the 8 kegs they had on tap but here’s a list of what I drank...up until I couldn’t type anymore.
