Today’s Smoke 2018

Today I had a RyJ panatela that was over 30yrs old. Now I would have thought that this cigar had mellowed over the years. Well, I thought wrong. This was the strongest Cuban cigar I've ever smoked. It must have been one hell of a firecracker when it was young. It was wonderful. I wish I had a box of 'em.

Paired with Jack Daniel's Rye. Yum. The occasion? First day off in 2 weeks. Lol.

"Cottonwood fallin' like snow in July, sunset, riverside, 4 wheel drive in a taillight, circle, roll down the windows turn it on up, pour a little Crown in a Dixie cup, get the party, started..... Girl you make my speakers go boom boom, dancin' on the tailgate in a full moon, that kinda thing makes a man go MHM! You're lookin so good in whats left of those blue jeans, drip of honey on the money make it gotta be... The best buds I'm ever gonna find.... Hey I'm a little drunk on you, and high on summertime......."

Well I am enjoying something mild-medium an Oliva - Connecticut - 6.0" X 60 RG something well made, burns nice, & even, forms up a semetrical ash. What I would call it a Mild-Medium strenth with a nice pleasing flavor profile. Lot of earth flavor tones, with a bit of spice.

IMHO Oliva is a company that works hard on producing a quality Cigar, be it the bottom of the line entry sticks, or their pricy sticks. Your just can not go wrong with Oliva if you like their flavor profiles, they Oliva makes Cigars that make most people smile.

FYI Golden Barrel Cactus in background, yes very very sharp spines.

One of the most consistent brands. Thier lines, in my opinion, do not change noticeably after being released, ie: Rocky Patel Decade, CAO, etc. etc.
