NFulton and I are trying to plan a little HERF in Akron at Cousins Cigar Shop. 1812 Merriman Rd, Akron, OH 44313 Dads-smokeshop.com

We will meet there around noon on January 7th. It would be cool to meet some of you. If you aren't from Ohio and want to come, by all means come on over.

Let me know if you're interested.

Akron!?!?!? Will Breedy be in attendance? I have been known to drive 3.5 hours or more for a herf but, alas, I will be coaching basketball on the proposed date of this fine event. I wish I could get there.

I was looking for a good shop in Columbus, there is a nice one but it is so small and always packed.
Which one? Burning Leaf? I agree, that is kind of small.

Down here in the Cincinnati area we tend to cross the river for our smoking events. Kentucky does not have a state wide smoking ban like Ohio so we can hit numerous cigar friendly bars. Strauss in Florence KY has a Diamond Crown Lounge but that's out-of-the-way for me. Tonight I will head to the Beer Sellar on the river in Newport, KY, right across the river from downtonw Cincinnati (great view of downtown Cincinnati) with a hundred or more other cigar people. The Party Source has the cigar customer appreciation night tonight so it's a great time. They have herfs every Tuesday. If you're ever down this way, let me know.

Nah not Burning Leaf. Those dudes tried selling me moldy Montecristo Platinum Tubos.

I was thinking The Tinder Box at Easton

I was also considering Governors Smoke Shop but last time in there the Padron's were moldy. :(

The last time I was at the Tinderbox at Easton was to meet with Strayvector and there were only four seats.

Montecristo House of Cigar on High Street has a pretty big lounge, but I believe it can get a bit busy too. Maybe not if we get there at noon. The owner was nice and they have an enormous selection. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what the deal is. I'm still OK with Akron, but centralizing it might be a bit easier for others.

I've tried going there on 2 different occasions and the doors were locked during posted operating hours. If they give you good info I'm ok with switching to that place.

Just seeing this. I should be able to attend.

I've only stopped into Cousins a handful of times, any idea on their alcohol policy?
I asked them on FB and here is what they said. "We don't have any licenses for it, so it's all on you! People do it every day."

Nice. I'll try to send some PMs out to guys in the area today. It's been about 8 years since the last Ohio herf.

I'm assuming you know the area, several good spots for food with in walking distance.

Never assume. Hahaha.

There are a couple pubs nearby within walking distance that have good reviews I personally have not been to any of them. I live over an hour from this location.
