What Beer Did You Drink Today (2017)

The store across the street sold singles of some beers. Not bad but not great.

I actually liked it, John. It surprised me how clearly the red wine flavors came through and balanced against the roasty maltiness of the imperial stout. Very unique.

Local discount liquor store guy recommended Devils Backbone, Vienna Lager. Not much of a lager drinker but I must say I was impressed.

IMG_0960.JPG Starsky & Dutch Double Dutch Chocolate Stout.... Tasty and you would never know it's 8.5%. Even on a hot and humid summer day.

I had tasters at Green Flash/Alpine Brewery:
Passion Fruit Kicker
Passion Fruit Kicker with mango and pineapple on cask
HFS
We Were Here First
Lustrous Frumento
Fresco Sauvage

Ended up with a pour of the sauvage to go with the cigar.

Had a couple good ones last night! Half Acre Navaja and Founders Doom. Both excellent and in my favorite abv bracket - 10%+

A Rogue Chocolate Stout that I waxed and put away in the beer fridge in 2009. I was worried it might not be any good with only 5.8% ABV, but wow was it excellent!! Chocolate was still very pronounced.
