We can if we stop wishing for pipe dreams and come back down to earth. I guess what I am saying is it's okay to wish for the HTF like the Chili Peppers and 8-5-8 Rosado, but the chances are slim to none. I am guilty of this as well. So put them on the list, but put a few easy to get sticks that you haven't tried and would like to, and maybe some wishes will get granted. There are plenty of new sticks in the $4-$20 range out there.

8-5-8 Rosado, Don Arturo, and BBMF Maduros are too rare and too expensive to keep this thing rolling.

Put those HTF wishes in your profiles and maybe they will get granted. Quite a few of mine have been.

I agree to an extent. I think that you can put in pipe dreams on the first day. But do not let it keep going for multiple days without adding anything. You also have to understand that when someone gifts lets say a HTF stick, they would like to be able to wish for a comparable stick. On another forum I frequent there are 2 (actually more) MAWPIFs. But the main ones are a High Rollers MAW and a Regular one. Maybe we should do that. Just my 2 cents

I agree 100%. This thread is really to acquire the HTF's. If I want an 80th I will go get one myself. If I want an aged Habano or HTF Tat this is where to play.

I'm with you guys on this. The whole point of the thread is granting and receiving sticks that are not commonly available to you. Otherwise you would have them and wouldn't have the need to wish for them.

Jeff granted a Don Arturo and passed his wish to Mark. Why should Mark be obligated to wish for a cigar worth 1/3 or less than the one granted? I agree he should expand his list if nothing is getting granted but lets not shortchange the value of the stick that was granted to earn him this wish.

It looks like it did get granted. You are absolutely right about not shortchanging the value of the granted stick.

Now that is straight up impossible. I dont think with all the money in the world I could put WayneN's collection to shame. But Jim and Robbie def are serious contenders.

I have some nice sticks and I am sure that Robbie does as well, but I assure you that there are some members here that have collections that make my small collection look like a bunch of swisher kings. I agree with Phil we should always expand our list if no one is willing to grant our initial wishes.

Even if money wasn't an issue it would be near impossible to cultivated the sources he has.

I think the problem here is not that the wishes are bieng posted for HTF, but that these wishes are being left for days. If it's your turn to play, PLEASE check this thread at least daily. I think we've done that a lot and I'm ont saying Mark hasn't, but just putting it out there. Also, I think we need people to add to their wishlists at least once every few days. Leaving a list of say, 5, impossible sticks will freeze this thread. That being said, lets just use commonsense & be considerate of everyone ....beyond that, I'd say at this point, we're doing pretty well with this idea! :thumbs:

I'm with you guys on this. The whole point of the thread is granting and receiving sticks that are not commonly available to you. Otherwise you would have them and wouldn't have the need to wish for them.

I'm not saying don't post HTF. What I am saying is put in some easier wishes with them. Example, Tat Frank is hard to find, but not out of the realm and not $45. Also Illusione is hard to find and limited due to production and distribution. Tat black is another. What I am saying, is don't expect this thread to move with any tempo at all if all you wish for is Opus A, BBMFM, Sand Shark, 8-5-8- Rosado or Gran Arturo. I think we should be adding hard to find, but not limiting our list to Ultra Hard to Find.

The rule is that you can't post a wish until you grant someone else's wish. If no one can grant a wish, the thread dies... Or slow to a snail's pace.

I like that idea. And it may solve the problem.
