The Empire Strikes Back...the pass

I don't remember ever seeing a covered foot on any Cojonu I've had which leads me to wonder whether it's something more obscure than how it's listed (shouldn't there be a year associated with it???), but the shops in my area usually have a pretty good selection of Tatuajes so if someone can clarify exactly what #54 is for me, I can look into finding a replacement over the next few days since I'm due up after jlada anyway.

The Gran Cojonu has a covered foot. It is a standard release. Right now there is 4 cojunos now. 2003, 2006, 2009 and Gran Cojuno.

The Gran Cojonu was purchased last September from FSS. I'd be happy to send a replacement out. The wrappers are extremely veiny, and I went through the entire box to find the best looking stick (smallest veins and no damage). Due to its damage I'm thinking I screwed up by putting it in one of the supplied baggies; it was a very tight fit. I will send out a replacement tomorrow, but not sure if I should send to Green Monkey or CigarMan (if I send to Green Monkey it will likely arrive a day after the pass arrives from jlada). Please let me know.

Phil, that is a very thoughtful offer, but USPS will take the blame for this one.. No need for you to be out of 2 sticks, besides, it is still smoke worthy, just doesn't look as pretty. If you really want to get a different one out, that is your call, but I would recommend sending to Steve (Green Monkey) and he can hold the pass up for a day, if he get's it that quick..

Let us know what you decide.

Thanks,
Brian

Just so you guys know, I just got called into work early. The next hour I was going to spend getting the pass ready to be mailed out will now be spent working.

Pass will go out tomorrow.

I sent out a replacement Gran Cojonu to Steve today - DC# 0308 2690 0000 1751 4330.

Just letting everyone know that my internet was out _ALL MORNING_. I had my puts/takes done, the list updated, everything all packed up, and my internet was out from about 5 AM until the time I had to go to work at 3 PM. Thus, I could not confirm that The Green Monkey was ready for the pass, nor could I use Click n' Ship.

Thus, my puts are as follows:

7 - Anejo Shark ------------------------------> 62) Cabaiguan Guapo Maduro
18 - GoF Carlito Double Robusto -------> 63) Casa Fuente Pyramid #2
40 - Opus X El Escorpion -----------------> 64) DAGA Sun Grown
55 - Tatuaje Frank ---------------------------> 65) Padilla 32 Oscuro LE Torpedo
34 - Ashton VSG Wizard (damaged) -> 66) Padilla 1932 Robusto
54 - Tatuaje Gran Cojonu (damaged) -> 67) Tatuaje El Triunfador

Goes out tomorrow! I hope my internet is back on when I get home :(.

Edit: Box is fine, humidity is holding really well at about 68%, and packing materials are more than adequate at this point.

The chicken has landed!

Not only did Phil send out a replacement Gran Cojonu, but he made sure that the poor guy wasn't lonely in the box during the trip. You're too kind!

Thanks a million!!!

Very interesting p/t's here.. Im sure they will cause some discussions.. Here is my point of view..

T: #20 LFD Salomon ($23)-->P: Opus X A ($25) - The LFD's rarity factor (300 boxes of 10) is going to push it past the msrp and rarity of the A. Although the A's are damn scrumptious.. I will revisit this.
T: #36 Tatuaje Havana VI Lado Occidental ($10)-->P Tatuaje Havana VI Zona del Este ($10) - GOOD
T: #39 Opus X Double Corona (2005) ($15)-->P: Padron 1926 #9 Maduro ($17.96) - MSRP's match, Im not sure there are too many places to buy the Opus and the 26 is easily available. I will revisit this.
T: #52 La Aurora 100 years Robusto ($9.90)-->P: Opus X Petit Lancero ($10) - GOOD
T: #65 Padilla 32 Oscuro LE Torpedo ($29)-->P: Padron 1964 A ($32) - MSRP matches, but I think the rarity factor may be off here. 64's are great sticks, but easily accessable. I will revisit this.

My comments are not meant to be discouraging, but an invitation for others to participate in discussion. IMO as far as taste and my personal prefrence for cigars, you hit the nail on the head, but unfortunatley it is not up to my taste to decide your P/T's.

I have updated the stick and pass list. Steve, please check the numbering for the replacement Tatuaje that Phil put in..

Thanks..
