Im finally a home owner! Signed the papers tonight, tomorrow I'm sleeping at a different address!. Single family home, unfinished basement, lots of outdoor living space, and best of all, definable rooms! A dinning room which is seperated from the kitchen which is seperated from the living room!

Congratulations, i know the feeling, I too and a new home owner, closed on July 8th but we are doing some work so we are not moved in yet. Me and my brother in law are doing the work so its taking longer then if we had a crew in to do it. I should be in by the end of October. Its a great feeling being a home owner isn't it. A place to kick back, have a beer and smoke and know its yours in 360 payments lol.

Congrats! My wife and I are hoping to be able to do the same soon.

A Basement!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAN CAVE!!!!!! :D

Good for you! Quite a big step in life. All the best!

yep, 360 to go. I'm so excited to have my first cigar on the back deck tomorrow!

Congratulations. I can't wait to do the same. I agree with MadMonk, the basement sounds like a perfect spot for a manroom.

Time to do a celebratory "Naked Lap" when the Wifey is gone!!!!!!!!

I won't tell you details of the "other" naked celebration to be done in every room once the Wifey comes back!!!

Congrats! Be sure to change your location in your profile!

Congrats on getting the house. I'm still waiting for this milestone. Don't think it'll happen until I retire, unfortunately.

I will second that! :p

Refinish the basement before you load it up with stuff.

At least stud it out for sure. You will be amazed how easy it is to fill it up with stuff..

do it now... and congrats

Congrats on the purchase! Having a space of your own to put your own mark on is a feeling (and sometimes a headache) that not many other purchases can match! Enjoy your new home!
