Credit Card Processing company cut me off

Our merchant services company, Transfirst, has sent me a letter stating that they cannot accept non face to face transactions from this store. Needless to say, I am selling a legal product to adults. ALL of you who have ordered from me have given me your DOB on your first order. If I don't know you, the box is sent with an "Adult Sig Req". But that doesnt' matter to these assholes....By the end of the day, I'll probably have a new merchant services company. This is the one I've been using...TransFirst...If there are any other retailers using them, this is a heads up for all of you. Thanks.


If there are any retailers here, please PM me with the name of your CC processing company so that I can switch over. Thanks.

This is part of the reason some vendors no longer take orders.

Hmmm, I wonder if website processing would be an issue?

Sorry to hear this, Isy. The tobacco business is getting harder and harder to be a part of, it seems. Maybe you all should just start selling "cigar bands". :rolleyes:

The CC companies are just too busy fleecing their customers to risk dealing with their vendors. All of my credit card accounts are closed. The last one will be paid off in just about 4 years, and I'll be off the plastic mountain. Debit cards work.
 
Just spoke with my CC processing company. This is ALL coming from Mastercard. MC doesn't want to process non face to face transactions for tobacco products. Just spoke with the IPCPR who referred me to another company and it looks like IO'll be up and running with them tomorrow morning. Meanwhile, transactions WILL continue to be processed, as my current company is "allowing" these transactions to continue until I find another processing company.

Don't worry brother...Right now, I'm still good to process ALL orders, whether in store or mail order. Tomorrow, I'll be with a new company and I don't expect to have these issues. Meanwhile, happy smoking and a nice ash to all!
 
Isy...Is the new company charging you the same merchant transaction fee?
