My digital timer has 8 settings (on/off), therefore I divided 24hr/8 and that's where I got every 3 hours.

Ok another update here.. While the Hydra unit was a good experience I couldn't just live with it and my RH was jumping up and down and I got tired of tinkering with it. Plus I have too many boxes and I need the space. testing out the beads/crystal method and seeing where this will take me.

But you have to season those shelves in the cooler when they come in and I'd suggest not having your boxes/ cigars in there during this period. What I did is use a cooler chest and put my boxes in there with a Xikar humidifer to keep them in a maintained humidity while the seasoning stage is done.
I actually finished a recent project which is small antique box that I turned into a desktop humidor for my weekly smoke. I did this just to avoid opening my Wineador often.
That makes more sense now... I did switch my hygrometers around. I place the one in the drawer on the middle shelf and it went up to 66 while my middle shelf hygrometer inside a drawer and it went up to 67. It looks like my drawers are less by 1-2% plus those small hygrometers are a bit off as...
The drawers are empty .. There is air slots on the bottom of the drawers .. One of the drawers is right above the humidifier .. I ordered an additional plug in fan for the Hydra. We'll see if that helps. I'm also thinking of throwing my middle hygrometer in the drawers and monitoring that as well.
