Yes it's been very warm here in CO this whole week (~70 deg); can't complain, just enjoying the weather. :D

I lock mine as well for the whole "better seal" theory, but I leave the key in it so I guess it's not really locked.

I too have a Xikar digital hygro which works great, and it's adjustable as well. You should be able to pick one up for ~$20 at your local B&M.

I'm another one for the garage with space heater, music and sometimes the laptop. I agree with FRANCO593; the smell does stay for days but for some reason my wife likes the smell, just not in the house.

How accurate is the built in Hygro? Mines off about 8% on my barrel humi and I believe it's the same model. Nice humi by the way.

Yes and so far the only half decent out of the three types they sent is the Phoenix. I'm getting rid of the others very soon; they're taking up valuable space. :D

Sorry to dissapoint, but the bottom is all the Thompson stuff that came with the Humi. Thanks for the comments though.

Here's a picture of my new Humi. It is a Thompson but it works and I like it. As I mentioned in my intro. my father in law got me a small Humi (Cuban Crafters Traveler) which I quickly filled and realized that I needed bigger. Well I ordered this Thompson Barrel before I read all the many posts...
