    my first Rocky Patel

well, im new to this, and willing to try just about anything right now. but i still have my nubs to fall back on. I did enjoy the RP, except for the huge split up at the cap, but cant blame the cigar as much as the storage i think. could be wrong.

    Mechanicsburg Pa herf anyone?

Thats what I'm hoping. Just want to relax, have a beer or two and smoke a good cigar.

    could use a little help.

i have a digital on the way. should be here in a day or two. but no one has answered my question. should i get my sticks out of there and into a tupperware bowl, or will they be ok in the humidor?

    could use a little help.

ok, so im convinced my hygrometer is wrong. so after all but two weeks with the 84% boveda packs in and a couple days of the paradygm humidifier in, the cedar has changed color completely, and has been darker for a while now, i took everything but the paradygm out and placed the 69% boveda packs...

    Mechanicsburg Pa herf anyone?

Hey all. im new to cigars, and really want to learn what is out there. would anyone be interested in a herf in the Mechanicsburg Pa area? Looking for 5-10 to join. was thinking of not only seeing what you all are smoking, but, as i am also a homebrewer, what beer would you pair? bring both and...

    could use a little help.

the analog hygrometers i have came with the humidor. at one point i got nervous, and added the two humidifiers that came with it, and the hygrometer did raise to about 69%, but i removed them when i got the second boveda pack. thats when it went down to about 61% and never recovered.

    could use a little help.

i did some tests i read about on here. dropped the lid from a couple inches up, got a good "swoosh" sound. also, did the dollar bill test, and while it wasnt pulling the humidor, (and i wouldnt expect it to at 12 lbs) it had good resistance, so im thinking it has a good seal. now that being...

another update. put the second boveda pack in almost a week ago and the humidity started going up, got to about 63%, then went back down to 60. im getting nervous now because i won some auctions on cigar bid, and they are on the way. im going to set up a tuperdor, and hope the humidity goes up...

    my first Rocky Patel

Hi all. Just bought and lit up my first Rocky Patel. Its a vintage 2003 cameroon. Got to say, other than the wrapper being cracked right at thw cap, I'm enjoying the hell out of this so far. Its a nice medium body smoke, nice draw and so far an even burn. Any on else have good experiences with...

    could use a little help.

Ok, update. I decided to go to the source and check to see if 1 pack was enough. Watched some videos, and apparently, I misinterpreted what I read. I need one pack for every 25 cigars my humidor could potentially hold. So I'm short one. Getting another one and placing it in monday. Im mot in a...

    could use a little help.

All good advice. I think I'm going to give it some time before I try any more tests. I want to leave the lid closed to get max affect. Ill give the dollar test a shot after I'm convinced I have this thing seasoned correctly. Just wish I'd see the humidity get passed 59%. I think I'd feel much...

Ok. Ill give it some more time. Its only been 5 days.

Ok. I've heard guys say it took theirs two weeks to properly season. Ill give it some more tome before I get really nervous. Does everyone agree that I should be putting cigars in now? I was told and read that you shouldnt until its ready. Will adding them take my hygrometer up to the proper...
