Was just clicking past CNN and they had an undercover surveilance video going that was in captions too. They clearly said fu--ing and printed it on the screen. Bet the FCC won't do crap about it. Bunch of censor happy stuck-up tightass five dollar crack ho's...... ok I feel better now.

I'm sure you've heard about the whole Oprah thing. Sometimes you have to wonder if those conspiracy theories aren't so crazy after all. I'm just glad my kids don't come home and turn the TV on right away (or if they do, it's cartoons).

Well, being that I don't really watch TV anymore, I only get news from MSN.com, and only because it's my home page. I have yet to hear of the "whole Oprah thing", could ya enlighten me?

I didn't hear about Oprah before :( .I've allways been a little rough around the edges but I don't think It's to old fashioned to expect certain standards. I EXPECT sexual & off color jokes from Stern, Cable TV, Late night TV ect...
At least people should be able to let their kids watch afternoon TV without explicit content.
My two cents worth anyway ;)

People like Oprah, and Stern, etc feel what they say or present should not be held to the standards of our society. But then remember they believe in socialist society not a democratic society. F***k them all!!! This may get me booted but it is my right under the first amendment.

I don't think I would worry Jim, IMHO, not even worthy of a threat of a boot. ;)

It all sounds like the liberal double standard to me.

Scenario #1

Liberal: "You can't say or do that!!"

Citizen: "I'm just voicing my opinion and/or views."

Liberal: "But, you expressing your opinion/views is actually indoctrination."

Scenario #2

Liberal Media: "&*%$#@*&%^$#*&%^$# and homos, animal rights wakoism, environmentalist wakoism, hug a tree, cross dress in public schools, etc...."

Citizen: "You are dangerously close to indecency. The rules are there for a reason."

Liberal Media: "Are you trying to censor ME....I have a first amendment right to say what I want to say."

This blatant double standard runs rampant in our society. Regardless of which side of the 'aisle' you reside on, it has seriously gotten out of hand.
