While surfing ebaumsworld.com, my computer became infected with the same virus 7 different instances. I also had 1 spyware, 1 adware, and 1 malicious program installed without knowing. The program is called powerscan. It is at power-scan.com I believe, or something similar. It claims to search your computer for porn, then allows you to delete the porn from your computer. The problem is, it lists files that aren't porn also. Some of which are system files, or other files you may want to keep. If you delete these files, Windows may not work correctly again. So be warned about these 2 sites.

Won't be going to that site anytime soon that's for sure.
Viruses can be a real pain the ass!!!! :angry:
 
I visit ebaumsworld all the time and nothing has shown up on my virus scan or anti-spyware programs. I just looked again and there is nothing that comes up. Maybe you got spoofed by someone else that covered themselves using that website.
 
If you want to find and erase your tracks don't visit those porn sites in the first place :p

I battled a spyware/adware/slow'my'fukn'puter'down'ware recently... BASTARDS! They should all be shot! :angry:
 
Well it was eiter Ebaums or some placed linked directly to their site because it was the only place I visited that morning. The night prior I was surfing Yahoo, CP, CW, and JR's. And I know these places didn't infect my computer.

I have found even more weblog spyware on my computer. I am in the process of saving all my important info to CD rom's and am considering reloading 98. I have been using Ashampoo to try and get rid of the crap and have mixed results. If I can't I may be down for a few days while reloading. So for those I owe packages to, I may not be in contact for a few days, but I have your addies. :thumbs:

Great programs... I'll bet that'll take it all off.
