Russ had to be admitted to the Hospital and undergo Surgery.

Thank God he seems to be doing alright.

He will not be able to make it to the Chicago Pipe Show.

I have spoken with Russ several times and his enthusiasm, willingness to share his time and knowledge, and just be a damn nice fellow, is infectious.

I wish him all the best.

Update:

Just heard that his employer had told folks at the Chicago Pipe Show that Russ had to have his lower leg amputated due to Diabetes. ]

Terrible news, anyone know what the reasons for surgery were? Hopefully nothing too serious.

I have met Russ once or twice. He makes his home at my local B&M. I wish him a speedy recovery!
