Who is a FOG?

This has been debated several times, and it never gets resolved -- which is probably as it should be, IMO.

"FOG" probably means something different to just about everyone on the board. There are some folks who have been members here a long time that I would not consider FOGs. There are also members who have been around a short time that I would consider FOGs for one reason or another.

For me, the interesting thing is that my list of who is and who is not a FOG will rarely match another member's list exactly. There may be overlap on certain choices, and some choices may be included on most lists, but I doubt that any single member would be on every other member's FOG list.

In other words, my list of FOGs is right for me, just like your list of FOGs is right for you.

Just my 2 cents. YMMV
 
Don't know what possesed you to once again open up this can of worms, but I have to admit my respect for Neal went up another notch after reading his post even though I dissagree with him about George.

FOG's my a$$. If you want respect then make damn sure you are worthy of it... every day. Longevity means squat just ask DaveWF.
Lee and George are worthy, CC is such a weasel ya better at least act like you respect him or he'll bury you in 500 word posts. Harris, while humorless and officious should be tolerated for his effort, mattR is a freak and best left alone, moki wears a dress and you really don't want to go there... Kenny and Floyd were separated at birth, JoeM is continuing to contribute to his surgeons' retirement fund and the rest of 'em I just don't have time for..

Too much emphesis is being placed on what a FOG is. While it is agreed that most FOG's have the best interest of the board in mind, that is not a prerequisite. FOG is just that, a F-in old guy, and Mat put it straight. Adding anything else to that isn't the best idea.

IMO, there is no such things as a FOG, there are just some members that deserve more respect than others because of certain factors.
