iPass Jazz Pass & Vine

Ok fellas, the goods are now in my hands. It looks fabulous, so good I had to take a few snap shots :)

Inventory is good, humidification is good, packaging material etc is good.

Again, my proposed P/T's for this pass are below:

Take: #6 Graycliff Crystal Pirate
Put: #73 Diamond Crown Maduro #7

Take: #54 Opus X Perfection #2
Put: #74 Padron Serie '26 #2

Take: #69 AF Masterpiece Maddie
Put: #75 Tatuaje Cojonu 2003

Upon approval of these and NCCL's go ahead, I will ship to bmd.

I have some converting of files from wav to mp3 to finish yet, but here are my puts for the Jazz.

1. Tim Ries - The Rolling Stones Project
A good pull of a few Stones tracks turned into Jazz. A few songs are a bit out of place (I can't get no satisfaction), but a few really turn out well (Honky Tonk Women and Paint It Black). All in all, it's a good effort to Jazz up some classic tunes. Right up my alley really.

2. Jazz After Dark II (Compilation - 2 Albums)
Miles Davis, Art Pepper, Duke Ellington, Tony Bennett, and plenty more throw it down smooth like for that perfect late night ambience. Two full hours of greatness.

3. Compilation Album (17 great instrumentals)
Check out Ain't No Sunshine by Boney James (very nice indeed).

Hey guys, just checking in from the road. I should be back Friday and then we'll be back on track. Sorry for the re-route.

Good job Wyatt and thanks for being in the Pass!

Friday!!! time for more cool tunes

I've always been a huge fan of Glenn Miller but when you add the Nicholas Brothers, oh baby .... check it out HERE .

It's been a tough week at Casa Sanchez this week, the Mrs. was layed off from the radio station and is feeling a little down, so THIS one goes out to her ..... we're big Louis Prima fans and his music is always a party waiting to happen in our house.

And just for grins and giggles, how about a little Harry James - Green Onions with Buddy Rich on the drums ... cool.

Pass has been received. Will post the P&T's and music list tomorrow evening and get it back out on Monday.

Are you going to include a cd of your renditions of jazz favorites ?

Note: Brett plays the keyboards...

No....I'm withholding my jazz version of chopsticks until I sign a recording contract.

I always thought that jazz was when you sorta play around the actual notes in a song. You do that, don't you?

Here's my musical contribution:

Sting - "Ten Summoner's Tales"
Frank Kimbrough Trio - "Quickening"
