iPass Jazz Pass & Vine

It looks like Mark Twain, dav1041, and myself might be able to take care of our puts/takes at the Outlaw event on 3/24!!

Oh that sounds like a great idea, it looks like it should there in time and we can knock out a few plays at one time. If it does work out that way, I won't worry about the P&T's at the HERF unless Loren is around  .

That sounds great. Let me see if Mike can get off work.

Yea I am gonna have to go to best buy and pick up some cd's, my wimpy jazz collection has been spoken for already. I am blown away by the number of albums.

If you don't want to waste the cash I got plenty for both of us!

Charles Mingus: Mingus Ah Um (Columbia, 1959)
John Coltrane: My Favorite Things (Atlantic, 1960)
Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool (Capitol, 1949-50)

I have these and would be glad to add them if no one beats me to it!!

Regarding the Coltrane -- I have it on a BIG cd of jazz that another CP'er sent to me. After reserching, it appears there is one song missing -- which doesn't bother me, but do you still want it included?

Has anybody seen marcsheldon around lately, we were hopeing to get this out to Mark Twain before the weekend for the Outlaw HERF.

Since three of us will be meeting at the Outlaw on Saturday, I will go ahead and post the music I am adding:

The Scamps (KC group) -- "Swingin' with The Scamps"
Kansas City Jazz Orchestra -- "Take One"
Miles Davis -- "Birth Of The Cool"
Charles Mingus -- "Mingus Ah Um"
The Weather Report -- "Heavy Weather"

If Mark Twain or dav1041 were planning on adding any of these -- no problem! I can find something else.

I'd like to welcome a new participant to the Vine, sonuvabum. He'll be sending me his musical selection directly so I can include them in the Vine.

Welcome to CP sonuvabum, I hear one of our Texas BOTL's sent him our way

Those were albums I heard were very, very good. I wanted to ask for those also, but didn't want to get greedy. If you do a search on some of the best jazz albums ever released, our vine has to have the consensus top 30 or 40 already!!!!!!
