Free Cigars

Thanks, I think I'll give the Dimeola's a try.

Heck yeah - thanks triple d - I've been wanting to try a dimeola for a while.

No problem guys, I saw this over on CW and I put in my order for both and figured I better post here for my CP buddies. Shaving cream and stogies, what a combination :p

Triple_D,

Thanks for the info.

CVMcigars is a little high on their shipping, $7 Priority for the free sampler. And it jumps up from there if you add anything to the cart. I added a 3 stick sampler to see and the shipping went up to $10.

I noticed the same thing geldor1. They pretty much convinced me not to order anything but the free stuff. I had 8 or 9 singles in the cart along with a macanudo sampler for a friend of mine, when I looked at the shipping and it was $16-17. So I just got the free cigars. ???

I agree that $7 is too high for the shipping. I ordered it anyway to try it out. I know some other guys that overcharge for shipping so they can make the product look cheaper.

Does anyone know which cigars come in the free sampler from CVM?

Received my sampler from CVM. Here is my take.

1) Didn't come shipped Priority as stated in the cart for $7 shipping. Plain wrapper for $1.76 postage.

2) Had a pamplet enclosed which only showed 3 different cigars: Cuban Sandwich, Cuba Libra Nic & Cuba Libra Dom.

3) Received 2 Toro cigars with Cuban Sandwich bands and 4 corona without any bands. Looking at the pamplet, they appear to also be Cuban Sandwich.

4) I can't believe these are '6 of their best selling cigars of the month'.

5) They run $1.16 for the Toro & $1.00 for the corona, $6.32 total.

Smoked one of the corona cee-gars just to see and it was nothing special, kinda bland. Will let the others rest a little while and try one again. ???

So, there you have it. More cannon fodder. What should I have expected for FREE? :sign:

They even covered a priority mail box with paper to save the money on shipping. I guess we actually did pay for the cigars  Now the other deal was not that bad. I got the itty bitty shaving cream and two decent looking sticks ( they look decent, I haven't smoked them yet)

Hi there,
I bit on the sampler also, was not impressed at all. Still waiting for the dimeola.

I just recieved my order from CVM and besides the sampler being a joke I was sold two conterfiet OPus X

Fake Opus? What a rip! I feel bad for even posting there site. Sorry guys, I was just trying to help.

I would call them and say that you paid for priority mail shipping and since they sent it first class they need to refund you the $ they did not spend on shipping, otherwise it's false advertising. Stuff like this pisses me off!

Just smoked the larger Dimeola. I thought it was pretty good - a little harsh, but with age it could probably be a fantastic smoke. I don't know about the prices they want for them, though - $6 a cigar ($120 for 25) seems a little high. They go for quite a bit cheaper on CB, though, so perhaps I might pick a five pack up and let them sit in the coolidor for a while.

I don't know what I'm going to do with this pre-shave stuff, though...very strange thing to include with cigars...

Thanks again TripleD.

Thanks Tripple D for the dimeloa free offer tip. I took a chance on the 2 stick offer for $5 shipping. Got em today, took only a few days. I lit up the smaller one today, the Magnifico, and I enjoyed it.

I am rather new to cigars, and often am not able to describe the specific flavor/taste, but this one tasted almost exactly as described. It was spicy and peppery at the beginning and then leveled off in the middle, and was still very good at the end, not hot at all (which happens to me on some smokes).

Well made, nice draw. Very much worth the $2.50 per stick. Like someone elses post, it is not worth the $5.25 single price, or the $115 for a box of 25.

For value, I'd take the Excallibur 1066 Dark Knight @ $62 per box of 20 (sale at niceashcigars.com right now) over these.

Has anyone tried to order this dimeloa offer a 2nd time? Heck, at 2.50 a stick I might order once a day for a week or so and let some age and see how they are in a few months.

Sometimes my skin gets irritated after shaveing, so I will give the pre shave goo a try. I'll post a review of that too.
Still, shaving lotion and cigars?? Who wooda thought?
