Today's Smoke 2016

Another plugged Monte No.4. Trying to smoke through this horrible box and move on to a better one. o_O At the rate I'm chucking them shouldn't be to long lol.
 
Skinny Monster Frank...I really enjoyed this one. Lots of nutty, earthy coffee and cocoa to start but the Connecticut Broadleaf didn't overpower. Mellowed out with rich cedar as it burned. There were a couple of times in the first third where I was seriously reminded of eating a Cherry Mash candy.

Nice change of pace for my Tat rotation, I'll be burning right through the rest of these.
 
Hoyo de Monterey Epicure No 1 the other night. Started off with a great almond note, but devolved into a soapy-flavored mess in the second third. This marca is one I should like, but that "eureka" moment with any Hoyo vitola has been elusive so far.

I'm liking those too...a LOT. Reminds me of the richness of PSD4's from around '97, or at least my euphoric recall of what they tasted like.


Smoked the Skinny Monster Drac tonight. It was more herbal with a little bit of pepper, definitely different than the Frank I had earlier. I liked the 1st half of the Frank and the 2nd half of the Drac the most....those seemed to be the richer halves of each. One issue with the Drac that impacted the experience was a big tar buildup near the halfway mark. I was driving and it was dark, so I had a nice coating of it in my mouth before I realized the reason for the slower draw. Re-clipped and it was fine, but man that is never fun.
