Guns

My dad bought a 12 Ga Beretta BL-4 back in the early 70's to shoot trap with, didn't like it, gave it to me and I've been using it so long it's like a part of me when shooting. Quick on the target is what I always noticed. I've only ever shot birds with it (IC/M) and have done really well. He used an 870 and 1100, I like the 1100 OK, never really liked the 870, it is set up for trap/skeet and has a stock where you can't really line the sights up, shoots naturally high to hit a rising target I think was the purpose.
Yea, if ya stack the beads in a figure 8, it'll shoot a bit high so you don't have to cover the bird when you go to pull the trigger. You just float the "bird" on top of the front bead and BAM!! The more room between the front and rear sight that you can see when shouldering the gun, the higher it shoots.(generally).

Just got word my uppers are on the way home. Had 556 barrel threaded and the threading on another barrel confirmed concentric to the bore. Fun things to happen soon!

Gun I was shopping went for more than I was hoping, time to start stalking another one.

Yeah Floyd...good shit bro! I went all out last year....built 2 AR's, bought a bunch of ammo and was ready for the BLM asshats to invade my neighborhood!! :D

I'm not sure the amount of tannerite we blew up this weekend is legal! 😂

Also on the hunt for a shotgun now...
Take a one pound tannerite, an old fridge, drill a two inch hole through the door, place the tannerite on the middle shelf, directly behind the hole, ratchet strap the door closed, and shoot the tannerite from 100 yards.

Make sure you have lots of cold beer on hand because you might not stop laughing for hours!

I've got some cleaning to do after this weekend. Been using shooter lube for cleaning, and have been pretty happy with it. Wilson Combat oil user here too.
I have a close friend who is one of the top snipers in the country and we used to shoot a fair amount. I learned something from him that I wouldn't have otherwise believed. He showed me how to clean the bore of my long distance shooting gun (223 with Mil-dot reticle) so that the cold bore shot could be accurately predicted, he pulls a bore snake through twice and that is it! Never any chemicals.

It makes all the sense in the world because he doesn't get to shoot a practice shot when in a life threatening situation so he has to know exactly where the cold bore shot is going to go.

I built two as well - a rifle and a pistol. And - for good measure - bought a Barretta ARX-100! After last summer Kenosha, WI is WAY too close to the homestead... 😒

BTW - just heard on the news today that Illinois led the nation in gun sales in 2020. And I just cannot imagine why!?!?! 🤣

Or those nazi and white supremacy ass holes who invaded my town a few summers ago.

Hopefully I can get a little help here. I am not a ‘rifle guy’ only hand guns until now. Can someone give some info about this Marlin? Unfortunately it is the only pics I have. I do know it has never been fired as the person passed away right after he purchased it & the fam ily knows nothing about it & don’t have any manual for it. It is about a 150 mile drive to his house & I would like to go there knowing a little about it.097EF17B-C59D-4371-A1BE-C6EE9F9D7143.jpeg4DCF75D4-502B-4594-84D2-6505ABC753A7.jpeg
