Jordan 2006 Cabernet :)

Very nice wine! I paid just under 60$ for it, and can see paying 60 for it again. Although I can't help to say that a 60$ bourbon will last me two months or so and a 60$ dollar wine only lasted 2 days..... So is it really worth it? Probably not lol

You're good... a bottle of wine won't last 2hrs at my house. :)

Last night with dinner, wifes B-day, We had 2 bottles of Ferrari Cerano Sienna, I really like this meritage definitely a favorite for $25. Jordan is good stuff but, If I go for a bottle over $50 I always go for the Caymus Cab, always spectaular and probably my favorite wine.

Love the Ferrari Carano Prevail Back 40... Agree with you on the Caymus as well. Cakebread is great also at just a bit above the Caymus prices in my neck of the woods.

Had to check the breadcrumb trail. I thought I wandered into the wrong forum!

I was thinking the same thing, Khari. I'll ask Rod to make a separate forum for wine and beer. :p

I've never even seen a Caymus bottle around here. But I'll defiantly keep an eye open for it.

And I've been eyeing a bottle of cakebread 07 cab for 80$.... Just haven't built the courage to pull the trigger yet lol

Enjoyed a glass of Black Maple Hill and an LFD Cameroon Cabinet last night on the deck.

I'm not sure what year since CVI doesn't put an age statement on it. At $44 for the bottle, I would guess the younger stuff though. 8yr old? Ray, any insight?

I've only had the 21.... Been dying to try some others though.... For less money!!! Lol

THE NAS BMH is probably 6 yo based on how they price their product. The more important question is who makes it. BMH has been around for about a decade sourcing the whiskey form different places. The first batches of the 20,21 and 23 yo bourbon were Van Winkle (i.e., wheated Stitzel-Weller.) while the rye was probably old stock from Medley Distillery but that is pure conjecture on my part. BMH is now bottled by KBD which is literally across the road from Heaven Hill. KBD buys A LOT of HH to use in it's own brands but whether or not it is used in BMH bottlings is unknown. I think that some is but certainly not all.
