150 bottles is out of my reach.......so (unless someone like AVB has previously done this before) what are the top 3 scotchs and top 3 bourbons to stock (<$100 max/bottle)?

thanks in advance.

The 20 year old Pappy is, IMO, better than the 23 year old version. It's a VERY SMOOTH bourbon. Top notch!

Such a personal question. This is not in order and it may change if you ask me again in an hour.

George T Stagg (any year)
Knob Creek
Pappy Van Winkle 15 or 20
Sazerac Rye (gotta have a Rye in there as a bonus)

Balvenie PortWood 21
Lagavulin 16
Glendronach 15 Sherry Cask

I guess my cabinet "is" well stocked then :D

In that price range, I would include Bookers Bourbon and Glenlivet 18 IMHO.

Ken

Bowmore 12 (tried this at a whisk(e)y tasting - a little medicinal on the nose but very smooth and great finish)
Buffalo Trace (don't laugh - for the price it's one of the best out there (IMO) and is highly rated in the Whiskey Bible)
Pappy van Winkle (nothing needs to be said about this)
