Did this Newb get punk'd?

it was a cigar with mold under the band from a PIF. I told him I'd make it up but didn't know when or with what. Gahau, I wish you would have come to me first with the concern.

But i would point this out tho...
It was moldy stick with more molds under the band not a cigar with mold under the band , and it was from a blind review.
The reason I did not come to you is because there is nothing to fix, and its fine that you make it up to me or not, i am not gonna start a thing over a single gurkha. but from what I have read from previous post is that gurhka came from another member that PIF to b.dawson... so since its old I can understand that it have some mold... its ok

Was I punk'd? sure I got a crappy smoke, was that ben's fault? nah... he probably did not look inside the tube upon sending the cigar, was it the guys' that send him the stick originally fault? nah again probably overlooked.
Again I am not asking for a replacement... I don't even smoke gurkha's (except the archive's)

If you are all good, then leave it alone. Don't make cracks in other topics. Don't make allusions to it in any situation. If you're good, the situation is closed, and to be left alone. Anything else is passive-aggressive BS. Cut it out.

Honestly, just looking at your responses it ultimately seems like you're out to embarrass b.dawson, which really isn't cool or necessary when he already said he would make good on it. Now had he been ignoring you and the issue at hand, if there even is one, you would be right in looking to the community and involving everyone. Right now you're just baiting the issue, "Oh I don't want a replacement, but I still got screwed," and it honestly doesn't seem that way at all.

I'm pretty sure that's not why we're all here, I thought it was to develop friendships based on a common hobby we all share.

1. What is he gonna do send me a single?
2. I don't even have room for a stick in my humi (Have been looking for a humi on another post)

I brought it up because, well by now you guys know...
He I said that he would make it right... never heard from the guy, does it really matter? or do I really need a stick? nah but on his man's word he said he would make it right, you know what it would have been just enough for him to step up and drop me a pm to just ask if I even wanted a replacement, I most likely would have decline.

Look guys the only reason I am posting here is because:
someone told ben something... didnt kept his word for xyz reason
he felt punk'ed and post of the board
He was told something by ben, got "punk'd" myself (or at least I felt punk'ed)
I post of this post about getting screwed
I think all this could have been resolved with a simple pm from ben: gahau do u want a stick?
End of story

This was discussed in the PIF thread and I believe the general thought was that it is ok to send out gifted cigars as long as no specific intent to smoke and share the expierience was implied. Although most of us agreed that this is something we wouldnt necessarily do ourselves, Ben didnt actually break any rules. He learned his lesson on that and decided to stay out of PIF till he had more stock.

I left it up to him to make good on his word (that was month ago)

The one thing I could have brought up is... "hey how do you deal with ppl that don't keep up with what they say"
I am pretty sure that I would have gotten the same whatever answer ben got, which ultimately brought him to bring this matter public, again same scenario, someone told someone something was gonna happen... did not happen
