The Padrons have several warehouses, like this one, storing baled tobacco for aging.
To illustrate the difference between cured tobacco and tobacco that isn't yet properly cured, Jorge wrapped a leaf of each on the cigar I was smoking. I smoked them both and immediately noticed the differences.

The Padrons have several warehouses, like this one, storing baled tobacco for aging.
Once rolled, Padron cigars are weighed in bundles of 50. If the weight is only slightly off, the cigars are inspected one by one, as are ALL the cigars rolled and bunched by that pair.
These are the presses used to box press their cigars.
This picture hangs on the wall of the factory. IN 1978, during the war that overthrew Somosa from power, the Sandanistas burned the Padron factory and their home down to the ground.
