Visiting Durham NC this weekend, shops?

Thank for the reply, which I just got when I logged on here after my visit to that very shop. Very respectable, sure. Good value....nope. Being in the "high rent district", their prices were just too much for me so I only bought enough to get me home (or back into Virginia where the sticks...

Visiting Durham NC this weekend, shops?

Well I'm off to NC in the morning. Wish someone could've helped. Oh well. :(

    When did "lose" become "loose"?

They're seems to be an overwhelming amount of misuse of the word "there". Their, how's that than? :D

Visiting Durham NC this weekend, shops?

My wife & I are going to be visiting my brother, an artist who lives in Durham. We'll have a little down time, so I'd like to find a shop there that sells at a good discount so I can do a little stocking up. I don't need a smoking lounge and great "atmosphere" so much as I want truly great...

    First Illusione 68

Their CG4 is one of my favs, though I can't say that I've ever had any other one of theirs that I didn't love. Great blends, high quality smokes with a good burn.

    WHO World 'No Tobacco' Day

On my 3rd so far, I think I have time for at least two more. :)

    Is it just me?

I'm a certified nubber. Any band comes off before or immediately after lighting, as it tastes funny when I burn right past it. I also think the best tastes (on many, not all) cigars is that last 1/3rd. I don't burn my fingers that I can tell, it seems I may have burned off the sensors. Melted...

    Shaving thread

I've read through all this and am now curious. Of those many of you using SE and DE shaving techniques, who has any comparative experience with the newest products as well? Myself, it's been years since I last used a DE. (I'll be 50 this year, BTW.) I have never used a straight razor or single...

    Does anyone work for Toyota?

BTW, loved my '88 535i until it's death...my son killed it's transmission so off to the boneyard it had to go. I had bought it as a winter beater to keep my '04 GTO off the road, then ended up trading that in for my '02 530i. Now panging for an M6 transmission again, I'm looking at going to a G8...

Perdomo Slow Aged Lot 826 Vid Review

Slow aged indeed. I got a laugh myself when I saw the display of Rocky Patel Edge cigars at a local shop...."Slowly Aged Five Years". Nuts, mine have been quickly aging for 7 years. I want those!

    Does anyone work for Toyota?

So Mr. bimmer635csi, you work for Toyota but drive a classic BMW? Good for you! That wouldn't fly at most UAW shops though. You'd be parking out in the back lot so far away from the plant that a whiff of that 6-cylinder exhaust wouldn't reach the door of the plant for a week even with a 40mph...

do you punch your cigars or cut them?

Both. Which I choose depends upon the draw/density of the cigar. I have a Xikar X2 cutter, a Palio, and a nice sharp punch on my Xikar Element lighter.

Just picked up this 8 pack

I had planned to run up the that B&M dealer this coming Saturday. Will they still have that offer?

    Palio vs. Xikar cutters

If you're buying at a B&M that has both, try them in your hand to see which style suits you better. If on-line, see if you have any local friends who have one or the other (or both, like me) to see which you prefer. That said, if I ever buy again I'm going to be looking at the higher-end body...

    Palio vs. Xikar cutters

No, it's actually getting dull sir. I have a magnifying loupe to view it and I cleaned it well before passing judgment. I'll send it back to Xikar as soon as I get a Round Tuit. ;) As I said, both are nice cutters, and I really have no preference...yet. ;)
